It's not possible to change usernames on the Fediverse, so Bluesky usernames would have to look like @did:plc:zhbjlbmir5dganqhueg7y4i3@bridge.example.com

Yeah I wish there was an easier way to do tasks in another thread besides Web Workers. Such an uncomfortable API. But in theory you could make it work well.
Yes, signEvent is taking up most resources. I switched it to nostr-wasm which helped a bit. But there's so much content I cannot even cache it, the cache is not helpful. 😂
It's Deno which means I'm somehow still constrained for resources even though I have 40 cores because it wants to do everything in a single thread. But besides that I put this on an insane server with 8TB of disk space because I'm planning to host ALL of it.

Are there any errors in the console, or any toast messages on the screen when your profile fails to update? I tried reproducing it, checking logs, checking grafana... I can't figure out what's wrong.
