Do you know what would be comparable products to the āruneā device (which seems like a local network router that could serve media or handle a security system video in a home setup over radio) to at beechat presents here?

WATCH: Last weekend we presented the Beechat Rune device for the very first time, as part of the Volla Community days in Germany. Featuring 4 simultaneous streams, capable of audio and video streams with next-gen CRYSTALS cryptography, the Beechat Rune is a perfect addition to privacy-focused systems.

Recipes would also be cool in a github-esque format (chefs could fork recipes, the potential for puns is debasing) #nestr
This was unexpected. Nostriga is doing an intimate kind of dialogue. I thought it would be fun to talk about food from around the world. I wrote the post-it note really fast, but if you are interested in food and how Nostr can use this avenue to bring people together and off centralized platforms and closer to Bitcoin.
Connecting With Food Around The World!
And maybe if there is time and the food trucks are still there, I will buy one item from each truck for all of us to taste the foods from Riga and compare it to your homebase.

When I unfollow someone on Damus, the posts continue to show in my āfollowā feed. Is this something that eventually refreshes or stops happening? Iāve ended up having to mute users I only want to unfollow (and still see posts from in the broader search) #asknostr #damus

A user may want certain notes to be kept, like ones that should permanently reside on my nostree or nostr based website ( nostr:npub1pr4du5xl28dy5sh4msz9uddnwxgzupkk4qzjzklv84edc6ruevzqlxmkzp ). it would be nice to have the option to indicate how long a post should be kept (a la the ādeleteā request?)
Thereās Reddit bots ( nostr:npub1e206mzksyrymrhlyrn3lgppe9fvax9e6zkvffea5pzyyy7mf8gysqff3ff , etc), seems like a bot could scrape a repo and post it to nostr (but it could be that it takes running a relay and storing it and dealing with potentially out of sync / old info running rampant)

Hashing the Hash #Ā·#
Simplifying visual verification of hashes
The convenience of QR codes for transactions is undeniable. However, they come with a significant drawback: they are not human-readable. This poses a challenge for users who need to verify addresses and transaction IDs. Typically, we find ourselves squinting at the screen, checking the first and last few characters of a hash, a process that is both tedious and prone to errors.
To address this issue, perhaps a novel solution: 'hashing the hash' #Ā·# Using algorithms like CRC 16 or Pearson hashing to generate a short hash transforming a lengthy, complex hash into a dynamic symbol that is quickly and easily readable. Someone more qualified nostr:npub1qg8j6gdwpxlntlxlkew7eu283wzx7hmj32esch42hntdpqdgrslqv024kw nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 would have to confirm how much complexity is āenoughā. Potentially include timestamp in the generation of the short hash to prevent someone from creating an alternative hash that results in the same short hash (within a relatively short timeframe). This approach could simplify the verification process.
The design of the visual aspect / dynamic symbol is crucial. It must be simple enough for quick recognition while remaining ācomplex enoughā. The symbol could be a combination of shapes, colors (although B&W probably more universal) or patterns that represent the hashed value of the transaction ID or bitcoin/lightning address. https://satsymbol.com nostr:npub1xkr96pkrasvvrfuclyx6esudrfhyxgk064amcf38dcq6p0aa0wustww52l (a simple watch face provides 12 x 60 x 60)
It could serve as a safeguard against threats like clipboard hijacking or malicious QR code replacements, providing users with a reliable visual reference for transaction verification. From a user experience standpoint, hashing the hash could enhance the way we handle small transactions. With a quick visual reference, users could comfortably verify transactions without the need for meticulous hash checks, saving time and reducing anxiety.
Next time you find yourself squinting at the last characters of a TXID... it could be good
