I see a giant eagle with his wings set back, crouching just before he jumps into the air and takes off in flight.
The rustling of his feathers stirs up the debris and soil around him where he just finished eating his prey.
When he flies off, he will look for a sheltered place to rest and preen.

The rest of the week I'm taking a mini-vacation/Spring break from the fiat mine and getting some large projects completed on our homestead. We're painting buildings, a porch, and wooden fence... among other things!

What kind of mulberries? Mine are black ever-bearing, not sure of variety. And between 5 and 8 feet tall, 3 years old. Yours look great!
I see the tip of an ornately designed spearhead being dipped into a magical combination of water, oil, and unnamed ingredients to cool the metal and embrace it with deep earth elements.
The dark liquids are roiling from the heat of the spearhead and the liquid Magik.

Oh yes, hitting Mid 80s today. Soil is getting warm fast. We only got 2 frosts this winter. Our last frost date is February 14.
It's nice to get the garden going early, but most of my gardening is done by June until fall due to intense heat and humidity. The sweet potatoes love it though!🙂
I see a crazy rooster 🐓 flying up in my face, ready to attack! He's moving so fast, his feet are a blur. His wild flapping wings are producing a flurry of feathers 🪶
If he keeps this up, he will find his resting place in a crockpot with onions, celery and noodles!🥘

I've been sprouting sweet potato slips for a month now and they're ready to plant! I need a lot of ground cover in my food forest and these are highly recommended in my region.
I'm always planning for the future - from saving seeds to building a food forest to stacking sats.

Oh, I can imagine how tough that is. I got relabled from 9a to 9b. Everyone's getting warmer.
I am trying to raise crops that tolerate this new hotter climate. Might come in handy if times get tough. My plants are part of my insurance against our unknown future.
I can live without money, but not food!😁
Plus, we have bitcoin 😉

Yes, the corn did good. The cooler weather resulted in shorter ears and less pollination though. Maybe the short daylight hours too.
We'll not grow it through the winter again. I'll try a fall crop earlier in the season, or just grow in the spring. Traditional harvest time is May here. I was pushing the seasons as an experiment 😁
We put about 40 cups of corn in the freezer and ate about 3 weeks fresh.🌽
Are you zone 9 too?
Yeah, I grew up and raised my kids(and gardened) in Michigan... cold, cloudy, very short growing season. I love the 4-season growing here in Florida, but there's a lot more pests and diseases with no freeze to kill them off every winter... and then there's fire ants...🔥 🐜 gotta watch for them when you put your toes in the dirt!😬

It's "Friday Eve" and I'm looking forward to the weekend! We're continuing adding wood chips/mulch to our food forest, cleaning up the garden where we grew corn 🌽 over the winter, patching a section of fence, and planting watermelon 🍉 😋
