This morning I stepped outside and heard the neighbors roosters crowing.🐓

By the time I got to work, the sun was up and the mocking birds were singing. 🪶

Even though it's overcast, it sounds like it's going to be a beautiful full day.😊

I see two mummies lying face to face on an unearthed tomb. They each hold a round object wrapped... perhaps a mummified cat to join them on their journey to the afterlife?🤔🐈

A river of gold flows at their feet, a symbolic indication of a better life to come.

After taking care of a sick family member the past few days, I'm reminded again how good my life really is- I have my health, my family, my homestead... and bitcoin!

I'm sure I could say a lot more, but time is fleeting. Go live your life with passion, never take good health or good times for granted. 😊

I see a golden helmet of an ancient warrior king.

Obviously, with the intricate design work, it was wrought by one of the greatest metal smiths of that era.

Sadly, he died in battle and the helmet was lost in the bog, and so too was his name.....

Hence, some of the greatest bards of our day pay tribute to him: "with your crown came nothing!"

It's Friday Eve, Leap day, end of the month, ... and probably other things too.

Perception is an interesting thing. As much as I wish my full-time job was someone else's job, and my side hustle my full time work, I choose to walk my world today with positive steps and bring at least a smile to my coworkers faces.

Enjoy your day as best you can. Set a happy destination in your mind and take steps towards it.

Get the best quality you can afford for your situation. Fences last a long time if maintained well.

Make sure you know how to put in an H-brace too. We watched lots of videos before we started.

Plan for gates moving animals and getting around the fence for cutting down grass and weeds. All our fences are 15 feet off the property line so we can access on both sides.

We were sore from pulling the wire fence end to end. The ground was too sloped down into the stream to get a vehicle in there.

We have a few small repairs and a gate to put in on the east fencerow. I think that is planned for after our hot summer.☀️

Thanks! It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. T-posts go in the ground easy this part of Florida. Sandy soil.

Hey there homesteaders,

My husband and I finally finished our last stretch of perimeter fencing on our recently purchased property if 3.3 acres.

It was the first long stretch we ever did. The other sections were hired out or existing when we bought the property.

Not too bad for a couple in their 50s! 😁

They sure are! Both my parents raised on farms with cattle. Spent a lot of my childhood around the sweet, pushy darlin's🐄🩶 uncle and cousins dairy farms.

I see a very Zen cow wearing a yellow sweater and green pants floating in the clouds..... a mooooo-ving experience I'm sure!🐮

Oh, get that. I grew up in Michigan. Gardening was much easier!!

Our climate has more pests and diseases for plants. Not to mention fire ants everywhere and root knot nematodes sucking the juices from our plants.

I kinda miss gardening in a temperate climate. But I'm here so I'll make the best of it!😁

Today I'm finishing framing football jerseys for a local memorabilia shop.

I enjoy framing, but my mind is on my homestead. Tomorrow we continue work adding fencing to the back of our property. It's just me and my husband adding about 250 more feet. This is the last section to completely fence the property.

My husband's favorite veggie right after potatoes. We're experimenting to see if we can get a Spring and fall crop to get two harvests every year. But we planted this crop a little bit late. We are still learning how to grow year around.
