Keeping track of news accounts is challenging because they flood your timeline with hundreds of posts a day. Without a reasonable timeline filtering tool or the ability to define separate timelines for groups of accounts, it's almost better not to follow these high-traffic accounts, but rather to track them individually.

A solution might be support for NIP-51 and user-defined lists (Categorized Bookmark list: kind: 30001) in individual, mainly mobile clients. Currently, only Amethyst on Android supports them.
