Well its about time I do my formal Nostr #introductions ... I like it here. Its beaming with optimism, hope, strong values and a general vibe of genuine excitement! Such a breathe of fresh air.

I haven't had any form of social media for years. Over the years I started to despise it. Too many idiots, too many controlled narratives, Orwellian censorship, and optics/lies spun by state and corporate backed sponsors...

Big tech, big pharma, big government and big lies. It was just depressing... I grew sick of the doom and gloom the algorithm would feed you, the ethos of the mob and the lack of like minded folk. I had to leave due to the inverted, upside down world promoted on their as "the norm".

Now, I'm excited about technology and computing again for the first time in over 7 years because of decentralised technologies like #bitcoin and nostr.

I've taken privacy into my own hands over the years. I'm running a degoogled phone (e/OS/), haven't had a Twitter account in over 5 years and a Facebook account in even longer. I never tried other social media platforms. Last year, I finally made my life 100% free of google (okay, I still have a YouTube account if I'm honest! But its isolated on an account with zero personal info) and looking to divorce myself from Microsoft and windows very soon as a next big goal for controlling my online identity and data. Obviously I'm a bitcoiner!

My career up to this point has been in Game Development with a background in computer science. I am now an aspiring homesteader. Self sufficiency, community and a nexus of clean food, #beef, water and a pristine piece of wild nature for my children to learn and grow from within is what I am striving for. I am a proud father and happily married to an incredible wife. I live on the beautiful west coast of #canada.

Some people say covid broke my brain. Fuck'em, I was on this path in life long before that horrible catastrophe on the human mind, soul and heart took place.

I want to leave behind a legacy for my family in the form of honest labour invested into the land. So that no matter what, my family has a refuge to feel safe and call home. A haven of abundance! I want to pass on knowing my children had the most freedom I could award them through their own nurtured self worth, skills and education.

I believe in freedom through responsibility, honesty, loyalty, freedom of expression, a right to privacy and a strong importance of morals rooted in family, lineage and community.

I first entered into the world of bitcoin in 2020 and have continued to #stacksats since!

More importantly I'm most excited about continuing the journey here on Nostr as I learn more about the protocol and its underlying technology.

Luck comes from working hard and showing up. My success in life is a testament to that as someone who started from nothing.

On a more light hearted note. I love #hockey, #camping, a good comedy and I'm an aspiring #hunter.

I look forward to connecting as I sharing my journey, experience, knowledge and self sufficient accomplishments here on Nostr as content.
