These ants are from the leaf cutting colony, they are the cleaners, and they clean out the nest from dusk till dawn, every single day! They work for a mother fungus that their leaf cutting brothers and sisters continuously feed. What they are depositing is a nutrient rich fertiliser for the earth. I collect it every week and mix it into my compost, and feed our fruit trees. I see these ants as a reflection of us humans reminding us we work for Mother Earth who feeds us abundantly in return. Big up the ants for this constant reminder and the evidence of Proof of Work!
