You've got me there! I was hoping I had it handled, but now i'm only at 211,475 sats in the channel, it's recommending 40,000 more. I suppose i better see what they can do. If anything, this whole debacle has gotten me to do something with the stuff I had fermenting on AVAX.

I decided to cheap out on alby cloud and am running alby hub locally, which is probably where I went wrong. I'm definitely in over my head.

I clicked "Open channel" in albyhub, then open first channel. I didn't already have a lightning wallet to pay the invoice qr, so i clicked the option for "Open channel with onchain bitcoin". so now I have 51000 sats in savings, but i need at least 250k to do it with this method I believe, and I'm not sure Icould recieve those sats back from the savings, it seems like they're locked up till I can finish this method of starting a channel.

I've sent $USD 35 worth of btc to alby but they say they recommend at least 250k sats to open a channel. so I can't participate in zaps without a buy-in of 180 bucks? I've gotta be missing something

So I am trying to set up Alby and am at the point where I need to open my first channel so that I can use funds. So the 20,266 sats it's asking for is the first fee, and then i'll need to send additional bitcoin to actually use zaps or whatever?
