Takes a few nostr clients to support that and get good feedback, others will follow the suit/nip.
It may look like in the UI (skipping the onion address part);
⚡username@🧅
Like user@domain.tor; when clients see .tor they will look up the tor address instead.
I see your point.
How about a name server on top of tor etc, mapping registered on blockchain? bad but better than storing ordinals.
To be on the safe side 👇 😂
You never know when another country disagrees with us and we declare them evil/dictator/terrorists.

Yes, nostr client etc can hide the pubkey/hash part in your solution while zapping takes that into account as people will not manually type the ln address.
LGTM
It may live in senders client. Compromise is first transaction will not have a cached value. It will be there for the following ones.
So the concern here is the node behind the ln address may be replaced deceptively?
Perhaps a better option is clients' checking ln address against a cache of node public address. And warn the user if there seems to be a change. Change might be an innocent technical necessity or a deceptive one the users may decide themselves.
Yes, I try to keep an eye on any spam my node users may cause. I have some thoughts to streamline this process.
For testing purposes I am going to command line to get more spam to validate my solution.
Paid relays are themselves the filter as spammers will not pay to write there. Relays do not do any censoring or filtering yet.
So by limiting your global and group chat to paid nodes, you will only read from folks using those paid nodes. But you will still be able to write everywhere (your paid nodes and public).
By using multiple paid nodes you increase your coverage for global feed.
Alternatively, nostrgram's following+ which shows you from your followers and their followers. Quite neat!
Your home feed and DMs read from both public and paid. So no problem communicating with your followers.
#[2] on Joe Rogan talking about nostr would be amazing!
#[1] #[2] hearing a lot complaints about spam in global. Perhaps limit the global feed to NIP-05 verified accounts?
Otherwise recommending the following to new users. But quite a challenge for new users to set up paid nodes etc.

I share the following setting with the new users with amethyst to limit global and group chat to paid nodes.
Additionally, nostrgram's following+ is a good global alternative with a wider user coverage to hear from more people.

Looking into this now. Thank you!
I have a public and a local node. I will open a dual funded channel between them to practice. Then ping you back for more dual channels to up my game into higher tier node status.
BTW, tor or clearnet?
I don't see any spam thanks to limiting my global to paid relay nodes. (BTW, I am running https://nostr.decentony.com and I can pay your invoice).
But this is limiting when it comes getting to know new people. For this one, nostrgram.co 's following+ is a good solution.
Interesting, I need to look further into this. Thank you.
Well said! This is the point many fail to see.
They tried to use Turkey earlier for this:
1. Assassination of Russian ambassador
2. Shutting down of Russian jet
Both turned out to be provocations done by operatives getting orders from Pennsylvania.
What's the advantage of dual channel over opening one with 6m and sending 3m out via lightning?
Looks awesome.
Hope badges need to be claimed by the owners so that trolls wouldn't issue irrelevant badges?
