Brilliant as always😅 🍪

Never thought about this.

I got two reps from two banks on call to troubleshoot a zelle payment. They couldn't resolve the problem. If you link your zelle to one bank, they said you can't link it another 😂

That was the begging and end of my zelle experience. I sort of got shadow banned from zelle as unlinking wasn't feasible.

Whoever zapped me 4444, thank you 💜🫂

I will put them to good use ⚡

I can whitelist it on nostr.decentony.com

What is the Alby pubkey?

Science is mostly about questioning, most religions are about believing. Great if you can excel in your faith while questioning things.

How do you locate Bitcoin meetups? Last time I checked meetup app was all crickets.

Hope every bitcoiner you saw was on nostr or you onboarded them otherwise?

Why do we need decentralized social communication? #[0] wanted to know why Nostr was better than other supposed "free speech" social networks like Gab or Truth Social. Here's why:

Increased Resilience: Decentralization can make protocols more resilient by reducing the impact of a single point of failure. In a centralized system, if the central authority fails, the entire system collapses. In contrast, decentralized protocols are less vulnerable to catastrophic failures, because there are multiple nodes, relays, or clients that can pick up the slack in the event of a failure.

Increased Security: Decentralization can also increase security by making it more difficult for bad actors to attack the system. In a centralized system, if a single point of failure is compromised, the entire system can be compromised. In a decentralized system, however, attackers would need to compromise multiple nodes, relays, clients, etc. in order to take down the entire system, which can be much more difficult to do or even impossible.

Improved Efficiency: Decentralization can also lead to improved efficiency. When decision-making is distributed, it can be done more quickly and efficiently. This is because decision-making can be delegated to the individuals or groups that are closest to the issue at hand, rather than having to wait for a central authority to make a decision.

Increased Transparency: Decentralization can also increase transparency by allowing for greater scrutiny of decision-making processes. When decision-making is distributed, it is easier to track and audit the decision-making process, which can help ensure that decisions are made fairly and impartially.

Increased Innovation: Decentralization can foster innovation by creating an environment where different ideas can be explored and tested. This is because decentralized systems tend to be more open and inclusive, which allows for more experimentation and collaboration.

If these sound familiar, it's because these above reasons are why we favor decentralized money. Bitcoin and Nostr go hand in hand in these schools of thought. I hope this helps! 🤙

Well said ⚡ This is what I wanted to tell to someone complaining about ramblings on Bitcoin the other day.

"Nostr and Bitcoin go hand in hand" based on founding principles for both you have outlined.🧡💜

Lnd with all cool tools does not support pruned nodes at all (per BTCpay docs).

c-lightning claims to support but a lot of stars need to align for that to work. The problem is c-lightning keeps requesting a block that has been pruned. I had to use rescan option to give it a block number to start scanning.

It has been working for couple of weeks. Today after a backup and restart, it ignored the rescan height and got stuck. magically came back, but lost my confidence for prod setting.

I came across while googling lightning related stuff. Really good content.

they are also adopting new lightning/nostr solutions quite early: lightning login, NIP-57 wallet etc.

Button border and backgrounds. Those nice purple blue gradients.

Using a popular VPS for hosting my btcpay server. I had to prune it a while ago as storage costs are through the roof. This is forcing me to use c-lightning and deal with all sorts of issues pruned node is causing.

Makes me wonder what other node owners are using. Looks like I will migrate it to home VM.
