Hey guys, just a heads-up about something we should all keep on our radar: quantum computers. They’re not a threat to Bitcoin yet, but once they’re powerful enough, they could break ECDSA (the cryptography behind our private keys) and weaken SHA-256.

Here’s how we can prepare:

• Use P2PKH addresses and avoid reusing addresses (keep your public keys private until you spend).

• Stay updated on Bitcoin devs working on quantum-resistant solutions.

• Start the conversation now about future-proofing Bitcoin before it’s too late.

After using #Nostr for several weeks, one thing that has taken me by surprise is how there are very liberal and very conservative people on here, and yet they both share a sense of community and don't spend all day posting content against each other. Despite differences in political persuasion, they find common ground on here.

Now that I've seen this, I better understand how dangerous centralized control of social media is -- where algorithms continuously drive inflammatory content to users to keep them addicted to the platform. I find it ironic that a censorship-resistant platform is largely devoid of much of the inflammatory content that's present on censorable social media. One may have thought the opposite would be the case.

I think it’s because everyone here (whether right or left) understands the importance of freedom of expression. We all share that fundamental idea and I think it just generates a bond of sorts.

I’m having trouble reconciling the notion that nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m Dorsey, cofounder and former CEO of Twitter - an extremely censored platform, hangs out and supports nostr.

The philosophical cornerstones of the two platforms are polar opposites.

Because I think Jack experienced first hand the darkness of corporate control over freedom of speech and personal sovereignty. With his peek behind that evil curtain, he wants to course correct and help out in whatever way he can.

Bitcoin isnt about the money right now. It's about owning it, golding it, and separating money from gov so the people have their power back.

The money comes, when we have our power back.

And educating the people around us as well. I just hope CBDCs don’t grab hold of the majority of people first.
