nostr:npub1eyk5ayndqmzh05hyt55qjdzmjqzm5fveayesknejz6cxrdgtuc8qgjhpk4 As I was finishing up the chemo and radiation last August, I had a drop in blood pressure (90/45) that lasted for over a week... accompanied by dizziness etc. To keep the electrolytes up, the nurse gave me a powdery mix called Liquiid I.V. Hydration Multiplier (orderable on Amazon). Not the tastiest koolaid, and no, I don't know how much benefit it provided, but I like to believe it did some good.

In any case, glad to see you are keeping on top of the situation. Hope you feel better today.

nostr:npub1ly4w84gjrmuxjqzenhy9zhn0x7wtuj9m2sp68t7utfgn0c2srmgqa6h5hd This is a wonderful update! I'm happy to read that :) And I hope the first few days pass comfortably.

Current status: pre-op, waiting to have a tumor removed from my bladder.

This is my breakfast and lunch. With luck, I'll get a real dinner tonight.

nostr:npub19wut57mgzea9pjzwfzns9f0aunyp780hz3dqjcex3l8hwchs55wqe9nay5 Wow. This is amazing, and bleak, and so alien to my life. I love it. Nicely captured.

nostr:npub1eepg9axwhvjkvh9p6aeq76mz3smrpgtnnfez4v45at9urfd3mvjq8fx3u7 I looked it up. Okura (now dead) paid $425,000 for the motel, a post office, an abandoned church, two dirt air strips and a gas station.

BTW, welcome back. I really enjoyed your photos from abroad.

I just keep expecting that people smarter than me will be the people in charge... Only to find out they're also merely humans and equally flawed as myself.

I've held this irrational belief for a very long time and it still surprises me to be reminded of it's failing.

nostr:npub1mpwksahqzlafhsc4457qxc48u0x4jfpdxj4rqsgez9dljd9kdt6qth4h3u Just the other day, I heard someone commenting that British prime ministers used to be like whiz kids... at least up until the 21st century. For example, at a press conference, you could ask Tony Blair 5 complex, thorny questions and he could spend 30 minutes expounding on the ins and outs, history, and facts of each and every issue without missing a beat or nuance. But the last 3 or 4 Prime Ministers have been dummies.

I don't know how true that is, but I have been thinking about the dumbing down of America quite a bit recently.

Bob. I know that wall! Love the picture.

I looked and will look again for "Not Joan Didion" a shot I made on that cement platform.

Forever unsmiling Joan is no longer... gone 2 years now.
