And the situation is that the stagnating economy and the skyrocketing inflation meets overly high expectations of the youth. It is a high-income trap we live in (everything is kinda fine, but you see the huge tsunami rolling towards us), which should in theory lead to political changes for the whole society to move on. Speaking about Germany, this would particularly make sense now, right now. But unfortunately, political changes are notoriously very hard to enforce.

Labor doesn’t necessarily lead to wealth (unless you’re a vanilla marxist). A complex interplay of labor, creativity, risk and innovation lead to wealth. It’s a collective emergent phenomenon. Inheritance doesn’t generate wealth, it just passes it on to another person.

Also because of the broken notion of wealth. For young people from wealthy countries it is kinda generated out of nowhere (by their parents in reality). It is a cognitive bias that is embedded in their heads very early on.

If you grew up in the communists and post-communists swamp like me, you‘d learn very quickly that none of those ideas are viable.

Our elections follow the same cycle over and over again, at the end of which people vote for the party that has the most uncharismatic, most boring and most passive candidate so that hopefully nothing would change in the next few years.

Bin es mittlerweile leider gewohnt, weil ich oft und viel reisen muss… Ich kaufe ausschließlich Flexpreis-Tickets und fahre 4-5 Stunden vor dem eigentlichen Termin los, was das ohnehin teuere Reisen noch teuerer macht. Leider ist das Stehlen unserer Lebenszeit zum Business Strategy geworden.
