Bitcoin and Liberty

Just getting of the second iteration of Operation Chokepoint

State power thought process:

Koresh might have guns we have declared magically powerful. Let's make a huge spectacle and raid his compound.

Shit, shit, shit... they actually shot back and they're good at it. Pull back, pull back!

Okay, okay, okay... the FBI had showed up. We're good now.

The FBI realizes that the public isn't supporting a brute force attack on Koresh. So, they release the information that he's abusing kids.

The public mostly gets on the State's side because of abused kids.

Too p much time passes and the State is losing face.

The State burns the children and adults alive and declares victory.

The State, decades later, is still confused by the public considering this a criminal disaster.

And still, most people believe that the State cares about them and wants them to succeed.

Joe Dart is a beast. The ray of them are great, too. But, Dart is just incredible.

Agreed. With the recent announcement of Russia and China trading in Yuan and Saudi Arabia accepting the Yuan for oil, the dollar is over. People may not know it yet, but it's done.

I'm not sure why Yellen is worried about bitcoin hurting the the dollar's status as the reserve currency. As much as I would love to see bitcoin be the reason the dollar gets dropped, the BRICS and the Yuan pose a far greater threat to the dollar's reverse status.

If Yellen and her boss had any sense at all, they would be doing everything in their power to move to a bitcoin standard to avoid losing the dollar hegemony to another nation's currency.

The US would certainly still loss lose a great deal of monetary and national power. But, if the choice is to lose that power to a foreign nation or to a decentralized ledger controlled by no one, it only makes sense to give that power to a no one.

As it us going right now, the Administration is giving away its power to the CCP and I don't see advantage for the US in doing that.

All of that being said, I've never been under the impression that the political class has ever been all that great at critical thinking or decision making. I'm not surprised by any of this.

But it's still a powerful degree of "not smart" happening.

An old foot measuring device for sizing shoes. It probably has a name, but I don't know it.

There's plenty of poorly managed institutions holding a lot of Bitcoin right now. Many of them will eventually sell either because "they're super duper smart" and "will get ahead of the market" or because regulators and governments tell them to.

This means the price will most likely come back down before it reaches a new ATH.

I'm not suggesting trying to time the market, but just that DCAing will likely work for you as long as you don't give up.

Keep on it and keep stacking sats.

I was just able to zap a note. WoS may be back up.

What did I ever do to you and why do you want to hurt me?

So, I just shared some of #[0] and #[1] 's videos on Facebook, which is the only place I have any audience.

I'm mostly off of the platform, but since a few people still listen to me there, I hope they help them.

Thanks, Crypto Couple for producing those for me to share.

It can be and it should be.

Bitcoin had the unique ability to "de-fang the snake," limiting or even eliminating the state's ability to pay for, and thus wage war.

Does that ability mean that it will play out that way? I have no clue. But, with the ability in play, there's a possibility, and that's something new.
