you're welcome to contribute there! I kind of want to bring back the formula anyway, since release builds are lagging quite a bit :)

What defines a “marginalized community”? What is an “everyday folk”? Someone who is a “folk” every single day?

Are these “biases” only structural and institutionalized? Or are the sometimes biological? Who needs to do the addressing and how? Can biological differences actually be “addressed” by social revolution? Is that even desirable for a functioning society to “address” the “biases” of class and sex differences?

Will erasing all distinctions between people (and especially among the most distinct ones!) actually “better the human condition” for anyone?

History says no.

There are exactly two kinds of people, regardless of race, sex, class, or creed: mostly productive and mostly unproductive.

Progressivism is a desire for rule by the unproductive, and it crops up when the grandchildren of productive people want to feel good about themselves and how they’re “helping better the human condition” when in fact their policies are making those conditions worse.

When productive people try to help others, with logic, reason, and a can-do attitude, they are generally successful. When the unproductive try to help, based on feelings, flawed logic, and more talk than action, more critique than solutions, they make matters worse.

As someone who previously identified as a liberal and progressive, I can confidently say the people you will argue with in this generally an-cap space understand your ideology much better than you understand theirs.

Who defines “productive”?

> There are two kinds of X: mostly Y and mostly not-Y

This is true for literally any X and Y.

there used to be a formula for gossip but it didn't seem very useful after I got the cask was working. I still build the master branch in its own workspace separate from homebrew.

nostr:npub1acg6thl5psv62405rljzkj8spesceyfz2c32udakc2ak0dmvfeyse9p35c I wrote a brew tap for gossip, and I am using it right now to make this post. It can be found at https://github.com/jacany/homebrew-gossip

Right now, it compiles v0.7 from source but it could be done to simply download the latest .dmg and install that. You could even have both options avaliable and make the .dmg version the "default" method. Building from source also prevents the output from being packaged into a .app format, so you must run the app with the gossip command.

It also compiles by default with the asian language packs, and video support.

Some thoughts would be appreciated, I could open a PR to gossip to add it to the readme.

FYI there is already another tap with more clients and tools

Just deployed a massive redesign of Snort.

Say hello to Snort V2 design, huge shoutout to nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac as usual.

As usual there are a few rough corners but we should get to them very soon, if you notice anything glaring please let me know.

This redesign has been in progress for over 2 months, the PR changed almost every file in the project.

link preview cards (e.g. for github links) in user bios are a bit overwhelming. not sure if they really belong there.

It's a single-celled protein combined with synthetic aminos, vitamins, and minerals. Everything the body needs.

Poster could zap themselves millions of sats too so they are both worthless metrics.

It’s just transparent now. I wonder if it was too confusing? 🤔

App is just crazy buggy now.

I also like how they took the nice clean app icon and threw some dirt over it to make it real ugly.

The huge dropdown button on its own line makes a lot of dead space. Maybe move it up to the top row, or at the beginning of the streams row?
