10000 sats-for-zaps Phoenix wallet Challenge
So, what would a lazy and stupid pleb like myself do if I want to start zapping #sats ASAP? Get a #bitcoin #lightning wallet up and running as cheaply as possible and link it to the easiest #nostr mobile client of course!
#breez wallet is out of the question because it closed my channels and moved my sats on-chain so I can't get to them (I'm lazy and stupid remember?). So, it's the perfect opportunity to test #phoenixwallet which is also non-custodial and hopefully more lenient to the #plebs
I search for `ACINQ/phoenix` on #obtainium to install the #phoenixwallet `.apk` file automatically from the project's Release page on GitHub.
#obtainium is a nice app on #fdroid that installs and manages updates of other apps directly from their Git repositories. It's very useful if said apps are not on #fdroid yet and you don't want or can't use the #android#playstore
Note that you need to fund your #phoenixwallet with at least 10000 #sats to start sending #zaps because of the fees of setting up a lightning channel to your #wallet
I use the #plebstr Nostr #android client because it's pretty, simple, fast and easy (I'm lazy and stupid remember?). I hate that it's not on #fdroid and that I have to install it using #aurorastore but #amethyst is still too sluggish on my low-end #smartphone
I update my #plebstr settings like so:
- Overview
- Settings
- Zaps preferences
- DEFAULT WALLET
- Phoenix
Finally I just look for cool notes and start zapping my beloved #nostriches
