e.foundation #eOS raised the #privacy bar of the default Camera app by including an option to remove EXIF metadata built-in; hence no need for a 3rd party utility. Now I wish all #android #ROMS were this #privacy conscientious.

#eOS managed to finish 3 automatic OTA (over the air) updates on my Redmi Note 8 #ginkgo smartphone where previously #ArrowOS 13.1 failed. Thanks nostr:npub18zlwxavujssd3t3zjrd0p9rmyyxr7vv5j9q6j5me8ndt4xnhkhlqtpps8e for bringing e.foundation #privacy #ROMS into my attention. Now some highlights as promised:
- #eOS launcher looks very iOS-like but too buggy on my device.
- Included Magic Earth maps app is closed-source so useless to me.
- Location services stopped working after the first update.
- #microg seamless integration provides enough of Google Play Services for banking apps to work.
- Overall #eOS A11 performance was remarkable and rock-solid.
Now I understand why #microg is better than the #gapps quagmire.
