Not to get into buzzword territory, but the sooner you setup your own #pkm system[^1] the better for your future self. For me it's #logseq and one thing that was not particularly obvious at the begining was what to capture and where to put it. So here it is:
1. Capture any piece of valuable information you discover that don't want to search for again.
2. Just write it in the daily journal and tag it accordingly. It is OK to have unrelated entries in the journal.
As your daily notes pile up you will eventually group them by topic in separate pages just referencing the journal entries and a "structure" will start to emerge. Massage your entries to help this process.
At some point you'll have a pool of knowledge ready to produce new insights using many #logseq tools like attributes and queries.
3. Profit.
