I wanted to set up Standard Notes as it was a recommendation I got on an asknostr question.
But, as it turns out, they have an Offline subscription thing you have to pay for to use all "premium features".
What in the fucking hell? x.x I just want a self-hosted Notion or Obsidian! I tried Trillium, Joplin, NextCloud Notes and they all ended up with caveats... But I do not want to store this sensitive stuff on a random AWS server connected to by some app - I want it on my own server.
Standard Notes just downloaded ~4GB of Docker containers. FOUR GIGABYTES! And yet I STILL have to pay a price if I want all the features?? Not being needy at all, are we...
Also I looked at Obsidian because someone at work mentioned it, and it doesn't seem to be self-hostable. ugh...
All I want is an overkill note taking application with notes, attachments, embeds, tocs, folders, tags. Personal knowledge management, wikistyle stuff...
Guess im back digging :/
