Has anybody did an evaluation of BlueSky terms of service?
https://bsky.social/about/support/tos
So far ToSDR.org has nothing about it.
In section 15B you can read:
"you and Bluesky agree to resolve any dispute (...) through final and binding individual arbitration. (...) you and Bluesky are each waiving the right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class action (...)"
What do you ToS people think?

Here's a very calm, well researched video analyzing the facts and data about AI technology progress. And all the stunning tech demos that were faked.
I really like the scientific approach to this and I feel like I'd want to adapt this kind of analytical process to other things in my life.

Let me tell you something. I'm not interested in machine generated "photographs" or "art". If you post anything of that nature, please mark it #AI or #ML, #NN or whatever.
Images you post are either genuine or I don't want to see them.
There's already enough crap on the internet. I don't need the little authentic stuff be diluted further by automated rehashes of huge data sets of dubious origins.
You typing in a prompt is not the same as you taking a photograph or painting or drawing. Tag it FFS

nostr:npub1fqlxjdzxqdt8rklgflqcz677jg57zdpjk37zjzfu7n3zululuwrqdduhw9 Yeah, using two windows side by side is a solution, but it's messy.

Can't Ctrl+C something because it's baked to pixels? Now you can!
NormCap is an unusual screen capture tool. It doesn't capture images, but extracts *text* from a selected area of your screen.

I'm testing this #FlorisBoard as a replacement for Gboard on my phone. And what's awesome is - it does work with #FUTO Voice Input. So I can have voice typing without requiring any online services. And without having to click through menus each time I want to use it. Awesome!
You can find both of these open source apps in the F-droid app library.

nostr:npub1tymnfnfth3h7kk06563z2sk7m2xvqswtn4admqx5n4shdlha69us2aty7t Do you mean Gigabyte is known for making flaky monitors?
KDE Plasma 6 brought HDR support on Linux!
And this reminded me that my Gigabyte G27Q monitor is broken. I've sent one back before when it started flickering first only in HDR + Freesync, then without HDR, then without Freesync and finally turned into a strobe.
Now this unit has the same problem, just a longer onset.
Can't I actually working hardware for my money once? Please?
Same with Sony Linkbuds S. Three pairs. All of them broken in similar ways. Still can't get my money back for two...
Here's a video about my productivity tool HyperTimer:

I've just released a new version of my productivity tool called HyperTimer:

Made for #ADHD people like myself.

I found the culprit. The only water ingres protection in these are two blobs of hot snot. One blob is too big, the other is too small, leaving an opening for water to flow through from the solar panel cavity.
There were two lights in the set, one works fine, this one failed on day 1.
Though both have a plastic container that holds water, and have circuitry right above it, only protected with a plastic plate with lots of holes. So if not direct water flow will kill it, the condensation will.
You know me - I'm a FOSS fanatic, and I don't compromise on my values. That's why I didn't think I'd ever do a video about a product I was given by the manufacturer, because - what could be relevant to FOSS and audio production?
Turns out there's something :)

nostr:npub1560kw0q6alae7077xx36a4wjydr8ulg2a9yqxswj66xrqty7d6jqr0l633 BTW, the nodes in Olive are totally optional. You can use it, add effects etc and never touch the node editor :D
But everything you so is expressed in it, and you can alter it. For example make one video track serve as a mask for another or always have specific effects applied etc. Node setups can also be copy-pasted as text. This means I can share my spatio-temporally smoothed chroma key setup etc :)
It's been a good while since I posted OG music.
This one is for a game in the works. Should loop more or less seamlessly.
Made with Ardour, Vitalium, Geonkick, Surge XT, Spectral Compressor and Diopser, Aether, Airwindows PocketVerbs, lots of stock Ardour plug-ins, and x42-dpl. Also Drumsynth and Bluelab Pitchshifter IIRC.
Generally 100% FOSS :)
The music's Ardour session is here in the game's git repo:

Enjoy!

nostr:npub1tymnfnfth3h7kk06563z2sk7m2xvqswtn4admqx5n4shdlha69us2aty7t Of course we do influence both corporations and governments. But in an averaged way. After all - we're the ones funding all of that, be it in taxes or as paying customers. If a corporation sees that a certain business strategy only caused losses and achieved nothing, they'll keep trying other things to get more money out of people. Sadly publicly traded company can't have any values over profit, because that'd mean they are screwing their investors, and that's punishable by law. AFAIK.
nostr:npub1tymnfnfth3h7kk06563z2sk7m2xvqswtn4admqx5n4shdlha69us2aty7t Of course! I am sure the same stuff is being done with law - politicians first do an extreme version of what they want and measure the backlash, then see if they can act as "reasonable" and "caring" while backing off to what they actually wanted. It's a manipulation tactic also used in marketing a lot. First give an outrageous price, but then say there's a number of factors that take the price down temporarily, so you think you're getting a great deal. Then you realize it was a lie.
