Notes:

* Pixel 6 Pro gets official security updates from Google until October 2026.

* GrapheneOS does support it but I don't recommend it unless you are a power user.

* This model is particularly good for the 4x zoom camera lens and low-light camera performance.

* Lightning is lower fees for both payer and receiver. Onchain I would need to spend sats to combine the UTXO.

* Almost instant.

* I want to encourage more people to use Lightning.

BTC circular economy?

Are you hosting your LN node on a cloud? Don't.

Not your keys, not your coins.

Not your iron, still your fault.*

I support creators that I like. I try to donate more directly so the platform doesn't collect 30%. Otherwise I like the convenience of YouTube Premium. It's a low cost and low effort for what I get out of it.

Perhaps those hostages would be happier with Apple taking a 30% cut of every zap?

I'm not seeing how BlueSky is more capable than Nostr from a technology POV. In fact it seems to be buggy and lacking features. Meanwhile everyone I see posting there seems to be thankful to have a refuge away from Twitter while ignoring the fact the network frequently fails.

Tried BlueSky on Android. Followed a few people then posted. The server failed to respond. I had to force kill the app a few times to recover. It seems super buggy for me. Will try again later.

I have been occupied and missed stuff. What is blue sky? Does it have Nostr compatibility?

The maxis are now tree huggers while Greenpeace wants nuclear shuttered in favor of more coal.

Weird timeline.

January 2010 I discovered Bitcoin. Mining caused my laptop to overheat and die. Thought to myself, "Intriguing design but it isn't worth this hassle. The government won't let this survive." Uninstalled.

Facebook renamed the company with the goal of making a fake world.

Twitter renamed the company with the goal of doing everything.

Neither of these plans seem like what users want.

I do occasionally do non-Thinkpad things. I don't appreciate being pigeon holed.

Are they selling a separate currency while claiming to be about Bitcoin?

I think Bitcoin Core had tools to do this for almost the past decade including reproducible builds with cross compilation from Linux toolchain to Windows and MacOS targets and verification?
