How might I automate adding current Blocktime to my email signatures?
The protocol (code) is designed this way.
It is not related to block size.
An automatic difficulty adjustment in the protocol causes the time to mine a block to average 10 minutes.
In my understanding, this is to ensure that the rate of coin issuance is relatively consistent.

#Bitcoin has increased my optimism about the future!
Sometimes I think about what would happen to that hopeful worldview if #Bitcoin would somehow fail...
Imagine being stuck in a digital world with instant global communications, AI + robotics, Centralized and Surveilled Everything, BUT the only choices we have for money are the old broken tools: gov't fiat, gold, real estate, equities, bonds, debt...
One of the reasons I value #Bitcoin is because I think it has a particular utility:
