I was so close to getting friends on Keet. Had mic and camera issues which fucked things up. In fairness all these platforms have trouble with the infinite mic/camera/speaker settings. It’s my zoom and Google life every day.
Really did like the performance, especially shooting over a video on the chat.

I can see some client using a bot to hold the sats in escrow and it looks for an npub created with a referral link and then as soon as it detects a it can send those sats it will send them.
Probably a lot to be discovered in doing this in a clean UX. Like getting the referred user on a lighting wallet, a quick start “what the hell is this?” Etc.
Maybe referrals using sats. Not sure where they would be “held” but if I refer my friend to a nostr client and they sign up they get the sats. It would be a pay it forward thing.
I would only give sats to a specific person. No faucet to abuse.

This is all client side connecting to the Derby storage node.
It will look for the data descriptor event using the naddr data. It will verify the data with the merkel root.
It will download the blocks and verify the blocks match the reported hashes and sizes.
