That’s the same thing I tell my father and have now orange pilled him. He’s always been a “follow the money” kind of guy, but try following it in fiat where it’s easily duplicable and rehypothecated. Showed him how Bitcoin is uncontrolled and backed by physical work and he finally gets it and can track just how bad everything is with me. He’s constantly amazed at just how much worse than he thought.

I'm working on an 'algorithmic feed' problem. You can check out https://nostr.band homepage for trending urls, hashtags and people. Trending posts coming soon. These lists are free of several kinds of spam that I've seen on nostr up until now (not based on simple easily-inflatable like/reply/follower counts). Is this something you're looking for? What other kinds of 'tops' would you consider useful?

Thanks I’ll have to take a look. Although algorithmic solutions are good until bad actors figure out how to use the algo to their advantage (brigading/engagement farming etc). Reddits up/down vote concept is nice within the context of subs I like and want the better content moved to the top, but on the global feed, it’s merely the popular stance of those viewing that content and therefore discourse is hard because you can get downvoted to death even with a valid question/point. There is no good answer so I appreciate the effort to start somewhere!

Yeah, it’s been both refreshing to just see data as it comes live, but also sucks to search for the people i follow for good content amongst those I follow for discussions. I believe Will said this was coming but wasn’t a priority over stability. I agree and can wait for that to come.

I’ve already got some enterprise software-like use cases and I am by far not the smartest in the room. I’ve always been a tech geek, so maybe I’m overthinking it, but I’m excited about the possibilities.

Steps to converting your religion.

Step 1: Get Purple Pilled: Come to #Nostr

Step 2: Get Orange Pilled Nostr: starts preaching Lightning.

I need to look into when mine were. Funny how we can time our lives by something as simple as an immutable ledger. Who cares about “years” anymore. We got block heights!

Pain in the asses, but dammit you’ll die on any hill for them! Congrats to you both! Life takes on a whole new meaning when there’s someone who depends on your for every need and you’re responsible for everything about them. You got this! 💪

Whoa whoa whoa, don’t forget about the soft fork to 2008.jpeg-SV that almost rug-pulled and cost #[7] his chance to own such a piece of Bitty-lore and sell it to me and the subsequent invention of POS (Proof of Sats) #[8]. This day has been cemented forever as an OP_RETURN as well in transaction f618406199895ddb19022b2db677221343e20a729382b49deb564cb936b225ba . One of my more proud moments in my life!

What do you think about an old Ubiquiti NVR? Believe it’s a wyse/dell thin client type model. I can SSH in but trying to figure out how to wipe their firmware and start fresh. Imagine the specs are better than a pi by far.

Right? Nobody is pitting Damus against Astral or any other client. It’s all Nostr the protocol. Much like it’s all Bitcoin/Lightning. Who cares what the wallet(client) is you use to access it. This is the hive mind at work!

I still seem to get a bad jitter when loading threads. Is this being widely reported?

#[12] you wanna help out with this #Satschain? Let’s get this passed along to everyone asap! Take a sat and pass to the next person. The 💪of⚡️
