People say Facebook is full of old people but so many of my school friends appear to be on there. Oh.

Having to set up and maintain a Facebook business page is cancer, especially since I suspect it's a compte waste of time.

Yeah, like European avant prog dudes, he's a militant commie. You know, because it's such proletarian music.

I'd stopped listening to Squarepusher out of sheer fatigue 20 years ago, then checked in on him again around 2019 and heard some stuff I really didn't like. The track you posted is sensational though. Will have to look further.

Awesome - they're one of my favourite bands. If you like this, check out Richard Pinhas's (what a name!) solo stuff too.

Consume outrage then get excited for next outrage.

I've barely seen any coverage in the media either. It's like they're treating like the same way they do suicides - avoid mentioning for fear that it'll set other people off.

I'm proud that none of my kids have anxiety issues around pain. I see others that do and dealing with them looks like hard work.

My daughter just yanked her first loose tooth out with a pair of pliers. That's unexpectedly hardcore for a 5 year-old.

My kids are watching The Lego Movie and I keep overhearing mention of a "Master Builder" and I'm waiting for this to fire up on the soundtrack.

I don't know if it's that specific - I tend to assume it's just part of a steady diet of fear porn. The object of anxiety changes every few days but the message is clear: things are only going to get worse.

They've been running time traveller stories as well - low-rent John Tutor's on TikTok predicting all sorts of shit.

Follow 4 follow makes sense if you're actually interested in talking to people but so many just want to pontificate to the crowd.

I've only unfollowed a couple of people so far. I'm not naming names because I'm kind of embarrassed that I ever followed them in the first place.

Heldon were so damn good. The combination of burbling synths and Fripp-esque guitar soloing is so perfect it almost seems like someone had to do it sooner or later.

Definitely one of the coolest album covers ever, too.

I'm not usually one to post trite affirmations but one thing I've learned from experience is that almost any occurrence, no matter how awful it might seem at the time, could actually be the best thing that ever happened to you. It's all in what you take from it.

I can't remember who's it was - I stumbled across it years ago and kept a screenshot for posterity.

I wish I had a Wikipedia page that went this hard.
