Just listened to podcast about #nostr. REALLY GOOD.

I started to panic.

Nostr/Amethyst showed no profile pic. It just took a couple of seconds.

there are definitely valid criticisms to Signal - phone number required, not being able to run your own server, reliance on intel SGX - but it strikes a pretty amazing tradeoff balance, grateful that it exists, most people would be better off if they used it more

unreal how many people tell me "Signal is compromised" then proceed to use imessage for 90% of their chats
