That's like saying that giving your valuables to someone pointing a gun at you is consenting to the robbery or eating the food of your slaveowner is consenting to your enslavement. Operating within a system imposed on you is not consent.

What will definitely never achieve anything is glorifying apathy as some kind of brave and profound stance rather than the lazy deepity that it is.

Nirvana fallacy. There were plenty of other issues worth voting for such as freeing Ross, ending operation choke point 2.0, etc.
