Good morning nostr, its drizzly and dreary outside again, and i could sure use some sunshine today. But at least its not cold, only in the 60's. This morning we might go out to the resale shop, then maybe stop and have a coffee somewhere. We've been putting off some rearranging of furniture in the bedroom, and since its rainy maybe we'll tackle that project. So just the routine homestead chores today. Old Lou, our good and loyal homestead companion, friend, protector, took a turn for the worse this morning. We said our goodbyes, and my husband did the very hard job of putting him down. Rest in peace Lou.

My mom had the test. They found a bunch of issues. They are going to attempt to fix some of them tomorrow. I'm being intentionally vague. Inquire via simplex if you want to know more. I realized that putting another person's medical info onto piblic nostr is kinda dumb. 😅

While looking at the hoagie buns at the grocery store, I couldn't find any with ingredients I'm happy with. Why do soybean oil, canola oil and corn syrup need to be in there????

So, here I am making hoagie buns for the kids' "subway sandwiches". 6 ingredients has absolutely got to be better than 20+.

Sugar

Lard

They're "proofing" now, so we'll see how they turn out....
