Hmm, I think that the real time constrains comes from nature, we all have a limited time on earth, I assume that the pressure society load us with is a reflection of that, and maybe even a good thing.
Like I would rather be pressured to do something or at least decide on time, than procrastinate hard choices down the line until is too late.
Like choosing a career for example, or any other impactful decisions.

I's mind boggling how much research exist on human mating strategies, beauty, etc... and yet society believes almost the exact opposite.
I don't know if it is because the opposite is nicer to believe or because is induced by media and social engineers or more likely, a bit of both.
