I don’t know whether other clients do this, but with primal, I can create and save search criteria for several hashtags (i.e., ā€˜#damus OR #nostr OR #primal'; ā€˜#bitcoin AND #finance’, etc ).

Can someone identify other clients that have this capability and how they do it? Thanks

Share with me the way nostr is more. Perhaps I am becoming too closed minded beleiving it functions to mediate sharing.

But nostr is also social media. It just mediates differently.

I am an old man who has come to beleive all life is mediated. It does become more intersting when one tries to identify what is mediating life.

A fascinating article on evolution - about novel findings that natural selection does not based on randomly generated adaptive traits. Instead, the environment, culture and lifestyle create traits. Those who believes these traits are created purposely might be inclined to believe some moral license give them authority to change the environment, culture and lifestyle for their ends. Careful of these people. Traits are created regardless of whether there is intelligence, intent or morality behind them.

When we take what we are given we owe our gratitude to the givers. What puts limits (boundaries) on what we are given is what defines its existence and that seems to be something that we can share in communication and understanding. Somehow I believe those definitions relate to reality, but I don’t know.

The city exists in many forms. People should not be afraid of their city, but those empowered to administer it might be reminded governed man is not the same as civilized man. I don’t wonder which came first, civilized man or the city?

Privilege is not something for which one needs to apologize. I do not feel guilt, but I am thankful for that by which I am benefited by no means of my own efforts. I do consider the forces of oppression that afforded the circumstances of privilege. The theories, the theologies and the theatre of our society and culture may not be enough to explain the oppression, but understandably they are the harbingers of privilege. As we can see, the emerging theories, theologies and theatre in our culture are bringing their own oppression. It is not clear to me, an old man, that they will yield type privilege I have enjoyed. But those things are not for me, I have already had mine. But I do wonder whether the oppression others embrace will yield similar benefits.

The action of individual ā€˜actors’ does seem to create the condition for change and the emergence (evolution) of novel actors. When I try to focus on the set of forces underlying the action of individuals, they appear to be common to all individuals whether the individuals are subatomic, atomic, or greater. For human beings, I believe those forces are manifest in belief. Belief does seem to be related to information, but I am not convinced it is necessarily so. In my thinking human acton is based in belief and the means to share belief such as theory, theology and theater, such as is ā€˜the word’. How logos and information are related is interesting, but information seems to be derived, it is not a first principle for me.

I think we will have to come to some common understanding of aging before I can understand the point you are making. The article you tagged suggests that two mice having a common beginning in time are somehow different in age. That doesn’t process with me and how I understand age. That one mouse may have been affected by deterioration and disease to a higher measure than the other makes sense to me. But it would not seem to have affect the age of the mice as I understand aging. To my mind, the affect of deterioration and disease is the issue, not aging.

I have become interested in the processes that bring change to the world. When I proceed in trying to make sense change, I try to reduce the number of first principles necessary to this endeavor. Now I have eliminated intent and intelligence from the set of first principles, it has revealed to me a new way of understanding.

I would like to keep easy access to the notes I would like to reference or study more deeply. Is there a way to make favorites of notes for easy reference?

Aging is not something for which the term cure should be applied. Perhaps some of the debilitating conditions associated with aging can be remedied. Yet, until it is hypothetically possible to stop time, aging will occur, with or without debilitating conditions.
