E.g. I post a note with a reference to an interesting article, but my social app doesn’t support long-form notes.
I see some “alt text” describing what that note is and click on it - at which point my app can query other people’s recommendations for which app can be used to view it.
This is a potentially a very large step forward in discoverability of services 🔮💖✨⚡️
