thanks! i am going to build nostr log in after a few weeks of training it myself and will send to you. it doesn't show midi. it learns and responds to midi, cc data, and text input obviously. it can export to ALS. but what started as a small idea gradually led me to realise that this is a complete paradigm shift in music creation. so its basically a different kind of daw.
how it's going.... #SEQ1

Leonardo was always the shittest turtle.
exactly, but then domain specific LLM's that handle domain specific problems will own those domains. Private jets as an example, there are very domain specific flows...
- user requests quote
- agent needs to determine aircraft positioning to determine where to efficiently request quotes from
- email operators (human operators) wait for response
etc.
it's an exciting epiphany honestly. there is so much up for grabs.
what we know as websites today are little more than slightly interactive brochures. VERY soon it will just be agents. And the most efficient agents in any specific domain will win.
Cool!
are websites just bad agents? like. going on a website to make a booking at a restaurant via a booking platform is just a primitive agent. will websites start to just be ai agents? I am considering rebuilding my private jet company website as just a travel agent that handles every aspect of the booking all the way through to payment. seems like a better ux to me...
nostr quiet cos we all too busy building
make some music they said 😂
here i am rebuilding the tools to make music
that is how ableton came about for what its worth
no the current (mvp i guess) UI is web based... but the backend is a separate server so any interface could connect to it – plugins for example, a macos app... but at the moment its using webmidi... so in your browser. it automatically detect what hardware is plugged in.... it has already ingested their manuals and understands all their cc mappings and nuances... and away it goes
sorry missed your question! so far its going well. the concept is validated. it can control my gear in a musical way. there's a lot to do but i know it will work, its just a case of working through shit now
yeah kinda but it also needs to be very erm.... domain specific – music. so it uses OpenAI apis but then it has all these engines to enrich that data so it has guardrails I guess from hallucinations etc. from just a straight up LLM. but top level - yeah its chatgpt as a studio assistant. But it would be primarily a voice interface... so you just literally talk to it
and so... i've kind of validated the – can text based input control midi devices in a musical way bit.... it's already playing chord progressions and stuff on my prophet.... It can!
it's a long story 😂
i basically had an insane epiphany
i have a theory of an ai hardware device composer that enriches itself with all available knowledge on music. it has its own very deep music system – like music psychology, music theory, rythm, sythesis etc.
but then its completely adaptive to human input and cc messages on said hardware devices.
im basically building a system that you can talk to - you walk in to the studio and say give me something synthwavey and kind of like moderat. and it starts playing. and you go 'nah thats too dark. make it a bit more fun in an 80's way'... and away it goes.
And then... when you start playing with the devices themselves... it learns. and it uses cc and midi input as further instruction.
Insane right?
😂
(currently i am in a ridiculous rabbit hole building an ai agent to program elektron gear btw 😅)
nodle and i are brothers in sythesis. maybe we are the new moderat 🤔
nostr:npub1pl4qpkzdff3weqqv2qm3fcjm0hd00pak2hvddp67q9jjkfrjr49sesuk3m made me think what type of tunes you might have in the works
GM
Gm pal. I can only hope! Moderat are probably #1 on my list of influences

ps your zaps are broken! 😞
you're full of surprises mike 😂
😂
i know right!
I went to fortnum and mason to take her home some of the good stuff at Christmas. She preferred the usual Aldi stuff she gets
she's definitely the coolest in my family. she's the oldest australian war widow that also served herself, so she's kinda a national treasure these days. 🥰
yes she drinks like a pirate 🏴☠️
they sure do!
my nan is 99 (100 this year). all she wants is baileys liquor and like... ginger chocolates. old people man. 🙄😂
Happy birthday! 🎂
