Tried both, in my experience wise has very detailed kyc (even had to upload a paycheck), also they have fees on sepa transfers. None of this with Revolut

Wise is the worst, if you haven't tried already I can recommended Revolut as the least bad

Cheers

So cool to see beer from the breweries next door available on the other side of the globe

This function only requests relays to delete, but many relays just don't delete

No problem, nodes have to keep running 😁

Maybe a Tor bridge like Snowflake helps, can probably be activated in the tor conf file. But not really a country firewall expert here

Green will have lightning support soon, but not yet. To easily get a lightning address use a custodial lightning wallet like Blink and withdrawal to your own on chain wallet from time to time. Once you feel comfortable you can self host your lightning address too.

Phoenix has nicer ui and a great backup solution, also splicing now. But breez will probably also upgrade big with greenlight now. Depends if you want to use podcasts and more breeze) or a simple, very good wallet

Cool idea is just a bit too energy intensive to set up and forget for a year on a li-io cell I guess

Should be possible with this, the esp32 all have an hall sensor integrated. Just played around with it, is a bit insensible but can detect direct/very close contact of a magnet reliably

Esp32, built in hall sensor, deep sleep, lithium battery -> phone notification if somebody moves the steel seed backup

These nucs are very nice, I think the upgrade is worth it for the better reliability alone (if you use lightning at least), but (used) laptops are dirt cheap (some even cheaper than a rpi nowadays)

The nix-bitcoin setup was pretty straightforward and the chain is synced 99.8% now, the last 100k blocks take their time but it's already much faster than the rpi
