Mainly 2 things:
Paying some people on a recurring basis with amounts too small for on chain bitcoin and too big for custodial ln. Non custodial ln is also semi useful for receive only, except you open big channels upfront.
Stacking sats from robosats in custodial ln and swapping to liquid once >1m sats with boltz till it is a reasonable amount to swap to onchain. This works really well with low fees and privacy is probably also quite OK when using boltz over Tor.
Is the Liquid network an utter failure? Have you ever used it? For what? Looks like a ghost town https://liquid.network/
Works great, use it all the time. Reliable, cheap and reasonably secure
Same, I hope there will be some key rotation thing nip one day
The feeling when you lump sum stack your tax refunds and 2 hours later markets try to price in WW3😂
Hä😂
Da darf einen echt gar nichts mehr überraschen

I want to make some burritos for lunch but all the recipes online call for packs of taco seasoning mix and I don't want to use that stuff.
I need someone on nostr to publish a simple taco seasoning recipe on https://zap.cooking so I can use it can zap them 😀
#asknostr
Don't know a burrito recipe but zap.cooking looks really interesting👀👀
Can you answer this question nostr:npub1tsgw6pncspg4d5u778hk63s3pls70evs4czfsmx0fzap9xwt203qtkhtk4 ?
according to nostr:npub15n94rarp3n7dz6edx9cugeshn0kcuxtugwu9nzprkpx7yekw7ygqplqru4's dashboard, there are 17k publicly accessible nodes on the bitcoin network. this seems surprisingly low to me. there are hundreds of thousands of users on nostr alone. what's your excuse to not support the decentralisation and anti-fragility of the network?
Most are probably non public nodes (no open ports). More people should set listen=1
I still feel like following 5 spooks here would be less manipulating than following 5 on X that have the support of the X algorithm (same agenda or paid for). Here you could still see opposing views if you follow them, on X it's possible they don't even show up on your timeline anymore and get shadowbanned. But blind following will lead to being captured on both, yes
Woud be great but phoenixd is also a nice solution
On the other side we have no algorithms here that could be used to suppress one opinion and push "the correct opinion" like on the big plattforms
Apparently it will get even worse at the halving
As bitcoin gets bigger more entities will probably try to manipulate bitcoin development trough social media the same way we see it in voting/politics.
(e.g. push against privacy improvements like CISA and for compliance tech like UMA)
Does Nostr fix this?
https://learnmeabitcoin.com/ is so good for learning about Bitcoin developement!
Yes, it's very useful due to the nice api and libraries. Easy to build home monitoring stuff with it. Also building bots is easy and many people use it.
