I'd take a reasonable lowball offer in sats, but not fiat, but there's a lowball point where I'd rather burn it or throw it away, lol.

Had a friend running a garage sale once where things were like $1 and someone would offer $.25 and he'd just break it in front if them instead. Gangster.

Imagine you and your friends are building a secret clubhouse, and you decide to use a #special #lock that requires multiple keys to open. Each key represents a different person's permission, and only when all the keys are combined can the #clubhouse be unlocked. This is similar to how a #multi-signature (multisig) setup works in Bitcoin.

A #BSMS file, or Bitcoin Secure Multisig Setup file, is like a blueprint for your secret #clubhouse. It contains all the information needed to set up and manage a multisig wallet, including the public keys of all the participants, the required number of signatures for spending, and other security settings.

Why is a BSMS file important?

1. **Secure Setup:** It provides a standardized and secure way to establish a #multisigwallet, ensuring that everyone involved has the necessary information and permissions.

2. **Backup and Recovery:** It serves as a backup for the multisig wallet's configuration, allowing for #recovery in case of device loss or failure.

3. **Auditing and Verification:** It enables #auditing and #verification of the multisig setup, ensuring that the wallet's rules and permissions are correctly defined and enforced.

4. **Multi-Signer Coordination:** It facilitates coordination among #multiplesigners, ensuring that everyone is aware of the multisig wallet's details and can contribute to its management.

5. **Interoperability:** It promotes #interoperability between different multisig wallets and software, allowing for seamless setup and management regardless of the platform.

In summary, a #BSMS file plays a crucial role in ensuring the security, integrity, and accessibility of #multisig wallets in Bitcoin, empowering individuals to take control of their digital assets. #plebchain #art #nunchuk

"My project, miningpool-observer, aims to detect when Bitcoin mining pools are not mining transactions they could have been mining. Over the past few weeks, it detected six missing transactions spending from OFAC-sanctioned addresses. This post examines whether these transactions were intentionally filtered because they spent from OFAC-sanctioned addresses or if there are other possible explanations for these transactions to be missing from blocks. I conclude that four out of six transactions were likely filtered."

Be ungovernable.

That's pretty cringe for a buddy to say, lol.

I had the strangest meeting yesterday. Listen, it’s worth it - I have some points for you to think about.

This guy bought some Bitcoin in early 2017 right before the end of Blocksize Wars and the origin of Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

So he had around 6 million #sats left sitting on a exchange.

Point 1:

He bought them for like $90. It’s now worth over $2.200.

How much is the same ammount of BCH he got in the fork event worth? Fuckin’ $13!!! Haha!

While his BTC is up 2440% he also lost 86% of value in BCH.

No reason to think that any of your #shitcoin would fare better than this. There is simply no second best.

Point 2: While we were moving more than $2k worth of Bitcoin he didn’t mind to pay ~$8 in fees. Still he had to wait for around 10hrs for a transaction confirmation. I realized that this high-transaction enviroment really hurts the adoption. I know. Lightning. But it just doesn’t help when mainchain is choked full in this manner. Really doesn’t feel like money of tommorow.

I tried to portrait it as a withdrawal of physical gold from a custodian and lightning being a cash in a wallet but not sure if it convinced him.

Remember that you and the universe want money with minimal transcation cost and lag. I don’t know the solution yet.

Point 3:

We’re still so early. Even though he was introduced to Bitcoin in 2017, he doesn’t know shit about it. That was the reason I was there, to provide my expertise in getting his coins off exchange. He doesn’t care or know anything about wallets, seeds, seed protection, lightning,… nothing. Only thing that made him interested? Number go up and he wants to cash out.

Interesting meeting at least.

holding it on coinbase was probably a wise decision, actually, would have rugged himself otherwise.

"All humans, because of their upbringing, tend toward one of the four “control dramas”: intimidators steal energy from others by threat. Interrogators steal it by judging and questioning. Aloof people attract attention (and energy) to themselves by acting reserved or withdrawing. And poor me’s make us feel guilty and responsible for them."

Here's a quiz from 2002 to find out which you are.... The Intimidator, Interogator, Aloof or the Poor Me.

My mom and I had the same hairstyle.

"The U.S. Justice Department is negotiating with Binance in an attempt to resolve its investigation into the company, according to a report from Bloomberg. The agreement would require Binance to pay $4 billion in fines. In return, the company would be allowed to keep operating while complying U.S. Laws.

As part of the agreement, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (also known as “CZ”) would face the possibility of criminal charges as part of an investigation into “alleged money laundering, bank fraud and sanctions violations.” The report states that CZ currently lives in the United Arab Emirates, which does not have an extradition treaty with the United States. This seems to imply that charges filed in the U.S. would unlikely result in CZ’s arrest.

The report suggests that Binance is pursuing a "deferred prosecution agreement." Under this arrangement, the Justice Department would file a criminal complaint but refrain from prosecuting the company, contingent upon compliance with three conditions.

First, Binance would need to pay $4 billion in penalties. Second, it would need to publish a detailed document admitting areas where it didn’t comply with the law. Third, a monitoring process would be set up to ensure Binance complies with laws and regulations in the future, and the company would need to comply with this process."

4 Billion and you can continue to do business.... Why does it sound like extortion, lol?

"The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has initiated a lawsuit against cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, accusing the exchange of violating securities laws. According to the SEC, Kraken has allegedly been operating as a broker, dealer, exchange, and clearing agency without registering with the SEC.

The SEC claims that Kraken's actions have exposed investors to significant risks, while generating billions of dollars in fees and trading revenue without complying with the requirements of U.S. securities laws. The lawsuit also alleges that Kraken's business practices, internal controls, and record keeping have introduced additional risks to investors, which would be prohibited for any properly registered securities intermediary.

In response, the SEC is seeking a judgement that permanently prohibits the defendants from violating securities laws and requests the disgorgement of ill-gotten gains. Additionally, the SEC aims to halt Kraken from operating as an unregistered exchange, broker, dealer, or clearing agency."

that being said, perhaps perhaps perhaps it may be wise to store some in a legacy address... 🤷‍♂️
