Enjoying this discussion and looking forward to more like it. My wife and I hope to start a family soon. Becoming a Bitcoiner over the last few years made me realize I wasn’t thinking critically for myself at all up until now and was being indoctrinated along with the masses.
Trying to reconcile these transformative few years for myself with what was an indoctrinated life until then has me a bit terrified of how to get it right for our kids.

I was 22 when my son was born. He’s 17 and my daughter is 15 now. So we’ve got 3 milestones next year: 16, 18 & 40 🤯. Anyways, I’m passionate about elevating the conversation around intentional and sound parenting in the bitcoin community and appreciate your post!

This life isn’t going to move and shake itself.
Produce more than you consume. Earn more than you spend. Listen more than you talk. Work more than you rest. Learn more than you teach. Praise more than you gripe. Laugh more than you cry.
You can choose to sit around and wait for things to happen or you can choose to proactively GO and make things happen. Understand that either way, the choice is yours.
The best way to confront darkness is by being a light. We have this unique ability built into the human spirit but it requires an active decision to expend energy in order to illuminate. You, my friend, are indeed the light of the world.
Every American and much of the world has heard the name Charlie Kirk. His assassination is impossible to ignore. Absolutely devastated for his family, and can’t imagine the impact this will have on his young children. It has been comforting to see the outpouring of support for his family from the President down. But I’m stunned and disgusted by the celebratory responses that are circulating. I do not wish this fate on my worst enemy and can’t imagine the level of darkness that evokes joy in this moment. We have work to do as a species.
It’s only the 6th but feels like September is basically already over somehow.

I met my wife when I was 19 years old. As we were being seated for dinner on our first date I said to her “look, I’m not looking for a girlfriend, I’m looking for a wife.” Psycho by most standards but I just wanted to be clear.
