I was just lamenting this earlier today. Though admittedly I do not like or trust TikTok as I believe it to be a CCP captured entity, this ban is wrong. People should have the autonomy and independence to decide how and when they choose to share their information. This should not be top-down driven by government because they decide on our behalf that "this is in your best interest". If we ban platforms, we become no better than the CCP, who have already banned social platforms, VPNs, Bitcoin mining, etc.

When I was young, if you stayed up late enough watching TV, this (or something similar) would play as the station went off the air. Literally, nothing on TV after that until morning. With streaming services and the internet today, younger people would find this incomprehensible.
Today: if you deposit cash in an ATM after bank hours, the bank is "off the air" and you get a notice on the screen that the transaction will be processed next business day. Young people of the future will find this incomprehensible.
