Do you already have a Lightning Wallet? Like Wallet of Satoshi on mobile.
Will come in handy when you want to test sending and receiving LN tips via your umbrel.
"Build it and they will cryptographically link their social media persona to who they sent sats to, how much, and when"
Privacy? lmao, too long a word
Zap is much sorter
And cooler!
The Office of Zap Statistics for the Passive Surveillance of Nostr Users would like to offer you a job.
Adding pubkeys? Bro you're doing it wrong #[0]
Don't think there is one, but you could ping #[0]
Deny read access from non-paying members
Deny privacy-degrading write operations, like zaps
Payment to non-custodial LN
See this thread for tips: #[0]
Pretty good heuristics.
Re giat messages, I find more useful when they post thread. Cause then you can reply to a specific point and have a more focused reply.
#[0] would it be possible to add LN tipping buttons on the nostr.band profiles?
If WebLN is found, it could trigger that. Otherwise it could trigger a lightning: or lnurlp: call which should open local wallets to finish the payment.
Why not simple LN tips? They're more private and the sats are just as good.
Keep it simple. You can setup a LN node in seconds: https://voltage.cloud
When you get more familiar with the technical side of it, should you be so inclined, you could choose between LND / CLN / Eclair / etc.
Depends how things are defined, etc.
But in principle, the act of blocking timewasters = the core ethos of maxis
You do realise that's exactly what maxi toxicity is?
Namely, getting rid of timewasters?
You have more in common with them than you think :)
To follow = to post a signed msg saying "I follow you"
If your follower posted this to relays A, B, C and you're connecting to relays X, Y, Z then you'll never know they follow you.
There are other ways to "follow" silently, without publishing anything.
While I agree with the sentiment, I do have to point out that receiving zaps is the opposite of staying humble.
Zaps are showing the world the sats you receive, when, and from whom. That's very close to bragging :)
The saying works better with plain simple LN sats though.
Was wondering the same.
Not only user authentication, but also with whitelisted pubkeys (paid relays, pow-based relays, etc).
