This is the way.
Once I read NIP-95, it became obvious I will stop using relays that support it and actively seek relays that block it.
Dunno, if someone is motivated enough to write a patch, they will spend a (one-time) 2-3 mins to figure out how to send the patch.
I don't think it has to necessarily be insanely easy.

Longer than it takes to deploy and clone entire codebase to self hosted solution https://git.v0l.io/kieran/snort
Is there a way to login to Gitea with nostr?
Gossip
Why not just host a Gitea instance as intermediary step?
Low hanging fruit: simple to install and 100% compatible with GH workflows (PRs, SSO, comments, etc).
Removes dependency on GH until a proper replacement shapes up.

A chat AI trained on nostr notes data
Would open up a whole new world of search queries
Would even enable features like "show related notes" or "show profiles with similar interests", etc
No, happens to me too sometimes.
Relays are probably overloaded and the initial connection fails.
Not really.
Just a couple ways off the top of my head:
- spin up a new Nostr client, ideally web-based. Control or influence what shows up on the Global feed (boost, shadow ban, etc based on keywords or pubkey)
- using fake zaps, boost specific notes with favorable content (its free, most Nostr clients will highlight the huge amount of zaps that note received, so the post is automatically more-or-less "boosted" on most Nostr clients)
- cleverly amplify concepts and practices that undermine privacy and de-centralization, as long as they align with the nostr ethos on the surface, influencers and gullible devs will do the rest to promote it (like "zaps")
With chatGPT its even easier: create fake accounts, fake discussions with a certain slant, use fake zaps to make things look legit, and occasionally tag actual accounts in the replies ("hey @alice, why do you think @botBob said that?"). Sooner or later you'll have engagement whch you can frame as you want, on the topic you want, and nobody can tell its fake.
https://xsats.net is pretty good
FYI here is the error I got: https://paste.debian.net/plainh/0cd25a9e
https://www.ivpn.net is also good, can also pay with LN.
Might be faster if you enable MPP
Lightning micropayments are a great way to help scale AI apps.
So we built WebAI - a way for developers to charge users a lightning micropayment per AI API call
Check out the demo at https://webai.deezy.io
(you must have a WebLN enabled browser extension like Alby!)
And the library: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@deezy-inc/web-ai
Love it!
FYI Couldn't actually use it, it failed twice (both LND and LNbits as Alby backend), but surely can be fixed.
Bookmarked it, will try again later.
All these complications..
Why not just a simple LN tip to the author? You can choose: repost author, or original post author, or both.
Or go to the next level and use your Likes as "silent LN tips" : nostr:note1qqqg4tylv66ecf3cdr7tudhvqq03furkggvaxh54kyf7f0n9mp6qzrlhaa
