Some LN SDKs are coming up which allow any app to have a "built-in" non-custodial LN wallet, so you can post proof of payment without interaction with the payee.
Just deployed a massive change to Snort which i've been working on for about 5 weeks now.
It's called "gossip model", this makes Snort more resistant to censorship by connecting to the relays that your follows use.
This means that Snort will also distribute load across multiple relays instead of always querying your own relay list.
This is better for relays and better for nostr as a whole because it allows small communities to co-exist without the need for shared relay sets or without you needing to add those community specific relays to your relay list!
I also have created an NPM package which will allow anybody to build Nostr apps with Snort's internal nostr code, including the "gossip" model, check it out here https://www.npmjs.com/package/@snort/system
Please be aware that there are NO DOCS, keep an eye out and I should be able to create some example code in the coming weeks!
This is the way.
The epitome of short term thinking. If it's not "news", it's not worth talking about.
This is the way.
Did the same thing with https://lab.oak-node.net/powpub/uv/wasm-client/
Less risks, less overhead, pushing the logic to the edges.

Can do the same with Oak Node, non-custodially ;)

Quick #praguestr hackathon with nostr:npub1jutptdc2m8kgjmudtws095qk2tcale0eemvp4j2xnjnl4nh6669slrf04x : recommended relays based on other users on the network
Nifty idea! Next level would be recommended relays based on your follows

Yes it does :) nostr:note1qqq9pld4qtukgpkf92se80jg6p3hlxg0j9c0dz5achmy9wef3cwsps0vvx
You can send messages with any LNURL payment

nostr:npub1acg6thl5psv62405rljzkj8spesceyfz2c32udakc2ak0dmvfeyse9p35c FYI I made something: https://github.com/ok300/gossip
It's a fork of gossip that runs a vanity pubkey mining provider in the background. It's essentially the latest gossip master with 1 commit to add a thread for the mining provider. The key points are described in the readme.
Mainly wrote it for myself, but figured others might be interested too.
Agree. It's well written, fast, supports most NIPs and even works in the browser (WASM).
Just published a WebLN-based demo for PoW Pub: https://lab.oak-node.net/powpub/uv/wasm-client/
Clients can pay Providers to mine them vanity pubkeys. The mined keys are of ocurse only known to the client.
Providers can run a miner in the background on any modern computer. All you need is a LN Address.

Btw nostr:npub1drvpzev3syqt0kjrls50050uzf25gehpz9vgdw08hvex7e0vgfeq0eseet your SDK rocks, using it in WASM.

Oak Node v0.3.6 just went live in the Umbrel Appstore!
It includes a Pow Pub Client, which lets you buy the mining of Nostr vanity pubkeys. Similar to rana, but someone else does the mining.
Here's a demo: https://oak-node.net/wiki?name=demo-powpub-client
Pow Pub is a decentralized protocol where buyers and sellers coordinate over Nostr. The mined keys are of course only known to the Client who paid for them. Anyone can join either as a Client to buy vanity pubkeys, or as a Provider to mine them.
1. Don't know, but ask other apps who did it (like ThunderHub)
2. No, because of the one-click install
3. No, it's all one app. The docker manifest for the app is multi-architecture, meaning it internally contains links to blobs for several architectures. The caller picks and chooses which ones fit.
