It was quite a productive Sunday morning before taking the girls out for their beach run, with UFC 312 on going in the background. 🥋🥊

I started by baking a sourdough bread—one that I had unintentionally left it fermented for about a week! 😅 Worried it might be over-proofed and wouldn’t get much oven spring, I decided to bake it in a loaf pan. It turned out not so bad. 😋

I also made a batch of banana muffins and some raisin bread for my parents since I’ll be visiting them this afternoon.

Maybe try an Asian supermarket?

If your pup has never had bones before, I recommend starting with chicken feet since they’re softer and smaller. They’re easier to chew, especially for pups without strong jaw strength yet.

We adopted the black one a few months ago—she’s still learning to handle bigger bones. Meanwhile, the little brown one started on raw meat right after weaning, so she’s more confident and has stronger jaws for larger bones.

I’m sure your pup will loooooove it! 😋

Farfalle means butterflies and I feel butterflies in my stomach 🦋😚

Call me crazy, but the sound of the girls crunching on duck feet is so satisfying. 😌

Carrot cake and cream cheese frosting - proof of work 🫠

Yes, cooked bones cannot be digested and can cause serious harm.

They definitely enjoy their raw bones.

It keeps them busy and happy!

Woof! Woof! 🐶😊

The girls are having a little snack bowl today! It’s a kind of DIY enrichment toy for them. I made the bowl from a coconut shell, layering some veggie purée, yogurt, raw meat, organs, and a few raw meaty bones before freezing it. 🥥

Some of you might have heard that giving dogs bones is a no-go because they can splinter and cause harm, but I believe otherwise.

Feeding your dogs raw meaty bones is beneficial for their teeth, provides a good source of calcium, and stimulates their brains.

You just have to be careful about choosing the right kind of bone for your puppies. Try to pick something hollow and breakable, like chicken or duck feet, necks, pork ribs, or rabbit ears.

** Their meal will be balanced over time. This picture might not show the complete balanced raw meal. Please do your own research before feeding your pup a raw diet.**

Buttery Garlic Naan 🫓

Any pleps are craving for some butter chicken? 🙋🏽‍♀️ And what’s butter chicken without some soft, chewy, garlicky naan? Let’s make these bad boys from scratch!

• 1/2 cup warm water

• 2 teaspoons yeast

• 1 teaspoon sugar or honey (to activate the yeast)

• 3 tablespoons olive oil or coconut oil

• 1/4 cup plain yogurt

• 1 large egg

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1/2 cup bread flour

• Melted butter, minced garlic, finely chopped coriander for brushing

Let’s Get Cooking!

1. Mix warm water and sugar/honey, then stir in the yeast. Let it sit until it starts bubbling—yeast party in progress!

2. Once the yeast is ready, add in the oil, yogurt, and egg. Stir well.

3. In a large bowl, combine the flours and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and knead until a soft dough forms. It’ll be a bit sticky—resist the urge to add more flour! Over-kneading = rubbery naan.

4. Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl, cover it up, and let it double in size (about an hour).

5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal balls. Let them rest for another 20 minutes while you prep the garlic butter.

6. Heat a pan or skillet—hot, but not crazy hot. Roll out each dough ball to about 1/2 inch thick (oval or circle). A lightly floured surface is your best friend here—too much flour makes dry naan.

7. Cook each naan for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Brush with that glorious garlic butter mixture while they’re hot.

Enjoy!

Best served fresh, but if prepping ahead, let them cool, store in an airtight container, and microwave (covered) for 10-30 seconds before serving.

Enjoy with butter chicken, curry, or just on its own. Because let’s be honest—garlic naan is always a good idea.

Practicing my bagels shaping - some look great, some… not so much 😅

But texture and crust are on point, and loooots of butter, honey and a little bit of salt always make everything better 🤤

Ps. My husband doesn’t cook, but he makes the best toast of all time!
