it's a peculiar and interesting thing that modern humans and their underdeveloped jaws and teeth are actually the consequence of mastering making almost every food source usable. from cooking to animal husbandry, tools like knives and mortar and pestle and fermentation.

interesting also is that part of it also is that pre-digesting food before eating it reduces the size and energy requirements for the digestive system, to redirect that to the brain.

ah yeah, and all that vegan woke obligate carnivore bullcrap. almost all organisms can digest sugars, but only omnivores and plant eaters can digest starches. you could keep a cat alive on sugar, probably, but i bet it would drop dead of kidney failure within 2 years and be very sickly the whole time.

there is a whole bunch of assholes running pet food companies that i would like to slap upside the head quite firmly for starting this fad of putting vegetables into cat food like they do with dog food. it's only marginally better than grain, the glue protein content is a lot lower but that's pretty relative compared to fish, beef and chicken, especially fish.

the dog can eat it, sure, it has starch enzymes sufficient to get the sugar out.

it should actually be considered a red flag, if you are paying attention, when you see people with almost no chin. this is what happens when you don't keep your mouth closed most of the time, the jaw needs strain to properly develop, otherwise it doesn't grow as much as the rest of the face.

There's no free lunch with cookware.

On balance, I really like Misen's nitrogen cooked carbon steel clad (w/ aluminum core) pans.

✅ light enough for wife to use daily.

✅ no coatings, yet fully nonstick.

✅ decent heat distribution, retention.

✅ less iron leaching than cast iron.

✅ less iron leaching than carbon steel.

✅ works on all heating elements.

✅ easy to clean.

The big tradeoffs with a pan like this is (A) it must be towel dried after to prevent rust and (B) it leaches elemental iron (100s to 1000s of mcg) into each meal.

Women's menstrual cycles are effective at eliminating elemental iron, but with men it can build up in the body and cause metabolic dysfunction.

To manage that, (1) consume milk🥛 alongside food cooked in this pan, which will reduce iron absorption, and (2) track iron labs and donate blood as needed.

This is my goto breakfast pan. Excels at fried eggs, scrambled eggs, and omelettes. Gentle heat without losing nonstick vibes is very doable.

Should last for decades.

I would genuinely, and respectfully, like to start a discussion on this kind of thinking.

Of all the people on earth Bitcoiners espousing "Don't trust, verify", claiming to value verification of truth over trust of arbitrary claims, should be in alignment with athiestic views. Views that are simply stating that without actual verifiable proof of existence any and all theological beliefs should be viewed as mythological and nothing more.

Atheism is literally the absence of belief in the supernatural. To claim atheism is a religion is nonsensical, religions make claims and atheists decline to agree with those claims until they are provided with sufficient reasoning to adopt them as their own.

Everyone is an atheist to an extent, throughout history humanity has developed countless numbers of supernatural beings and theologies surrounding them.

When it comes to Norse, Greek, Roman, Egyptian, or other "dead" theologies almost everyone is athiestic and declines the existence of their pantheons of gods.

Some of us just go a step further and apply the same thinking to all living theologies with large numbers of believers as well.

It is surprising to me how so many Bitcoiners are still heavily religious and speak hateful rhetoric towards a group that simply asks for proof of religion, in addition to proof of work for value.

Religions in general are more like FIAT money than they are like Bitcoin, there are many and they all eventually go to zero (believers). Viewing the world through a lense of the scientific method, verifying claims before adopting them as true knowledge, is in alignment with Bitcoin's ethos of Don't Trust, Verify. All religions should be discarded without proof of the claims that are made.

I'm open to counter arguments that you personally find compelling, my beliefs are ever evolving based on things I learn and to which I am exposed.
