Self sovereignty needs also simplicity to be implemented.

A simple way to run your own node, your own relay etc etc.. and an easy way to create and implement a network of them.

The easiest will be to run your relay and connect to as many as you want without being overwhelmed by too much data and stressing bandwidth (I am not technical enough to see all the problems and issues should be solved to achieve it), the better.. and the stronger the protocol will get.

As was for #bitcoin in its first years, #nostr needs to grow steonger and on a bigger base to become more resilient and embrace more people and ideas that will help in its natural and organic evolution and expansion..

Removing spam is fine, but I didn't know removing non-english post was a desired feature.

Hey #3dPrinting nerd bubble, what #CAD software do you use for making your own 3d models?

I'm starting to get really annoyed by the limits of OpenSCAD, and the only other 3d modelling software I've ever really used is Blender... which is kinda slow on my computer, and feels like the wrong tool for modelling mechanical parts.

Any recommendations for something nice that is not too slow to run on a macbook from 2017 (*staring angrily at inkscape, which is not even 3d*)?

Hey, I use #FreeCAD on Linux, but it's also available for Mac. I was not able to fully learn how to use OpenSCAD. But FreeCAD is also opensource and it is way easier to learn. It has an UI similar to SolidEdge or SolidWorks.

I personally use Manjaro only as my dailyos in my desktop PC and laptop for coding, browseing and some casual gaming. But at work I use my company laptop which is Windows, I have no choice there.

Hi! I would recomend #colemak, because the transition from Qwerty is easier. I learnt it 1 year ago, and it didn't took me that long, but don't expect to be really productive during the first 2 weeks. I would recomend you to practice in monkeytype.com

Personally I use an #ortholinear #keyboard I built myself, but if you want to start with Colemak layout, you can simply switch the keyboard layout in the language settings of your laptop (it's available for Mac, Windows and Linux) and maybe put some stickers on the keys of the keyboard.

Sure, totally agree on that, variety of choices is always good, but for my main device, I prefer to use some OS with a decent amount of users to have some community support in case of some issue. That's why I prefer #GrapheneOS
