All joking aside, this is one of those things I should have bought for the business years ago.
I was using a scale that just showed pounds or ounces, but not pounds *and* ounces!
So I ended up doing maths for everything over one pound (which is 80% of what I ship.) And, I'm pretty bad at even basic maths.
It's a silly thing... the old scale works fine, but was missing a feature so I said "Eh, why replace it?" but honestly, this is an excellent upgrade.

I had to log into Twitter/X for a work related thing and... the sheer number of advertisements interspersed in the timeline is ridiculous. It's such a stark contrast to the Fediverse.
Meanwhile on Instagram (also for work) I had to delete the latest round of scammer spam messages. Blah. It's all so annoying and makes me want to help & protect the Fediverse that much more.

I can say "I don't care about gender" and mean that I don't care what you choose for your gender, I just want you to be okay... But also, I care deeply about the *issue* of gender because I have friends who are denied rights, and their lives are threatened by people (often people in positions of power) who think they should be dead.
So yeah... that's why gender matters right now.

"Gender matters because people make it matter. It's like the old "I don't see color" in regards to race... We have to, because equality does not exist yet, and people are treated differently because of their race. Likewise, people are treated differently due to the gender they are, or feel, or present as.

I still love the Anbernic RG35XX with GarlicOS but wow I find myself having to write a bunch of scripts to run on the device to fix things that go wrong...
Luckily I'm getting better at writing them, so that's a nice bonus. (Shell scripts were never my strong point.)
