I also wondered if it might be relay-related somehow but every single one was not connecting so I have to assume it's the ISP
well i am now ๐
My ISP appears to be blocking traffic to/from relays again, this happened earlier this year, too. Has anyone else experienced this?
Can I get pizza using a zap? If so, worth a shot
The term "dude" seems pretty old school these days, I might as well start calling kids "whippersnapper"
I cannot get this song out of my head
We've been building like crazy the last few months. Really great to see lots of other people doing the same ๐โก๏ธ Something in the air, I guess? ๐

Yes to all that. For me, benefits like these outweigh the downsides, at least for now. But agree there's still a long way to go to make this sustainable long term

What do you like about it?

And so relays would have to hold onto ancestor events? At least to some extent? That seems reasonable
nm i think i understand what you mean now. The issue of replacing contact lists with reduced checkpoints is another problem which is more disruptive and difficult, the one im talking about here is a simpler problem to tackle.
This came up because people were starting to use a-tags as zap and like targets which seemed very wrong. I wrote up why here:
https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/800#issuecomment-1741177812
Curious to hear: the a-tags have been useful for us as a way to consistently refer to a piece of music content even if the metadata evolves over the lifetime of a replaceable event -- this way the zaps are simple to attribute to the content. I see the concern though in your issue comment. What's the idea for this moving forward?
In a few short years, Costo shoppers went from hoarding toilet paper to hoarding 1 oz bars of gold.
Which sucks for me, because I literally just spent my last bar of gold on some Flamin Hot Cheetos
