My daughter out on a single vehicle rollover today with BRFA. Patient was extricated successfully with minor injuries, and even Patrick and SpongeBob were saved lol. If you ever want to get a young person some good training and practical skills on first aid, forcible entry, fire suppression, high angle rescue, ropes and knots, power tool use and code 3 driving, encourage them to join a volunteer department near you.

There’s no such thing as a volunteer fire. Most departments have Junior Firefighter programs, and it’s a great way to encourage your kid to serve your community!

They’ve been working on funding a multi billion dollar carbon capture program up here in northern Alberta with an 8 year timeline for delivery. In the time since the idea’s inception two years ago, oil and gas up here could have mined hundreds of Bitcoin using technology that is being built right in our backyard by Upstream Data.

I love the SQ4R method for written material:

Survey - Scan the material to get the flow of how it is presented

Question - Scan the material again and develop questions you’d like to find the answers to

Read - self explanatory

Recite - read aloud

Review - Scan the material again and see if you can answer your original questions

and the most important…..

Reward - do something you enjoy to recharge your batteries or rest your brain

Another incredible paradigm shift that massively increases retention is to imagine that you are going to teach the material to someone else the following day. It really helps you to remember details.

Man, hard to say. But McD just sees the ice in a way like none other and creates opportunities that shouldn’t even exist.

Have a pretty full afternoon but I’ll make a point of hitting an Edmonton meetup one of these days. I guess the next YEG meetup is on the 20th hey.

It’s so cool nostr:npub1k763esjjzm2vzz7gtt38q4wf49zlua72l4rreu3myzghuwwwdqtq2mcg5x We were in town Friday for a few appointments and made a couple days out of it, so my only other mission was to go to see Val at the Old Strathcona Farmers Market and buy some beef for sats after you mentioned her in a post a few weeks back.

There was another vendor Brian from Brian’s Food Company selling South African duwars and other cured meat goods, and I got him to download a Lightning wallet too!

Between this experience and having a local egg and meat producer in Bonnyville just recently join the orange revolution, it’s just made this bright new future of trade all the more real! ₿

Too bad it wasn’t a YEG meetup week. I’m looking forward to attending one!

Downtown Edmonton. Can’t wait to go to the Old Strathcona Farmers Market tomorrow and West Ed Mall pubs on Bourbon Street. Might go do some shooting at the Wild West Shooting Ctr and check out the massive Bass Pro Shop in the south.
