I think it’s maybe just that shitcoins cast a negative light on legitimate cryptographic currency like Bitcoin, and in turn slows adoption, and people’s awakening to the theft that fiat currency represents. A lot of people end up dismissing Bitcoin along with all of the pump and dump tokens, and missing out on the awakening that the study of sound money can provide. What do you think?

You don’t. You cherish the memory of having experienced something that many people never do.

Bitcoin is great, we all know that. But what happens once you understood it? When you’ve protected your wealth? When you've ‘bought back’ your lifetime?

I think what happens is that more and more people will discover themselves, simply because they have the time for it and the inner urge for answers.

Discovering why they are, and much more important, who they really are - not just a physical shell that will eventually die.

I mean, when you have much more free time you won’t do nothing right? You will start to think more about how to spend your limited lifetime and this might lead to a very special, spiritual journey that might turn your worldview upside down even more than Bitcoin itself.

A beautiful journey about your true nature, without the illusion of the ego which makes you think you are divided from everything else what is not you, but in fact everything is connected. Everything is one.

The human ego is what makes division possible in the first place. Not politics, religions, ideologies or the fiat money system. All of these only exploit the fallibility of the human ego.

The true crisis of our time is a crisis of consciousness. If all people would take a look into themselves, realizing that we all have something divine within us, the world would be completely different, but the system doesn’t want us to be aware of that because it lives from the unconsciousness, division and ego of the people.

I believe Bitcoin will be a huge catalyst for people to start this journey of spiritual enlightenment.

I believe this is the true power of Bitcoin.

Definitely not making people ‘rich’. This true power is much more consequential than simply getting rich in a materialistic world.

People need to recognize again who they are and where they come from. The system does everything it can to create a distortion of consciousness in the masses, so much so that they fight each other due to their need of feeding their ego, over and over again.

People worship and spend more time, invest more energy in politicians, stars and influencers more than their own parents, their children or God. What is going on?

No one on the outside and definitely not a politician will ever save you. Only you can save yourself and that by becoming conscious.

It is my opinion that Bitcoiners tend to have an affinity for such topics as their level of awareness is already somewhat higher, although I do not like the increasing politicization of Bitcoin and the unconsciousness of many people in the space in this regard.

They have been proven through Bitcoin not to have prejudices against things they don't know and instead to look into topics and have realized that many things are connected.

It's not called "Bitcoin the ego killer" for nothing.

Once you realize that people are in a mass psychosis of consciousness where we are all supposed to exist separately from each other, hating each other, not having empathy, love and respect for each other, which is not the natural way of being human, the true rabbit hole begins.

In those fleeting times in my life where I’ve had the combination of money AND time, I’ve been encouraged by how quickly I switch from “hunker down” mode into “build mode”.

It’s amazing what we can create, how our goodness can shine, and how we can enrich the lives of others when we are not being financially repressed and wasting every waking second of our days trying to stay one step ahead of state theft.

In the times I’ve been flush with cash for an extended period, the first thousand dollars every two weeks immediately goes into stimulating the local economy, doing memorable things with my family, and buying tools and materials to drive my projects forward.

It is for this reason that I’m convinced that the state’s motivation is primarily about control rather than ensuring that we have a strong economy and a robust middle class.

Oh well, if we have to build our stacks and our killdozers one plate and one bolt at a time, so be it lol.

Keep stacking. Escape velocity is now attainable.

Just to perpetuate the false narrative that Bitcoin is used primarily for illicit finance, when in reality 99.4% of illicit finance is conducted in USD.

That place looks very familiar. BC?

How long is it going to take for authorities somewhere to seize on the fact that the stolen Bybit Ethereum has almost entirely been swapped for Bitcoin, as a means of painting Bitcoin in a negative light? Or as a means of changing rules regarding self custody?

I’m in northern AB and just recently getting my feet wet on mining. Our company (in an unrelated business line) has MOU’s with First Nations bands here and in northern SK. We just started a joint venture with Meadow Lake Tribal Council to do vegetation management projects for SaskPower. On the Alberta side it’s mostly been for ATCO Electric and Fortis. I’d be interested in learning more. I’ll check out your site.

Upstream Data also has a manufacturing facility for their Bitcoin mining skids for oil and gas sites about an hour and a half away in Lloydminster. I’ve reached out to them a few times about business development opportunities but haven’t ever heard back from them. I was thinking about stopping by there when I’m over there doing estimates in Lloyd in the next few weeks.

It looks like you’ve plugged into something good that can have a positive impact on communities and leverage power subsidies in a beneficial way.

No but I beat a hacker with a CPFP TX once. That felt pretty good.

It’s actually quite stunning up north here looking at it through a spotting scope on a clear night. It’s one of our only galactic neighbours visible with the naked eye. I believe about the only other galactic formations that we can see from earth that I have personally seen are the large and small Magellanic clouds.

I’ll never forget when I learned how to spot Andromeda, and saw it for the first time with the naked eye, knowing that in a space of sky the size of my pinky fingernail with an outstretched arm, were over 300 billion stars whose light left their source two and a half million years ago.

When I used to work at my uncle’s dairy farm as a kid, is was old school. We had a tack board calendar for all 45-50 head, to track their birthing, insemination, drying and calving dates.

I think my uncle used the abrupt dry off method and just stopped milking them and monitored for mastitis as they came through the line. The odd cow had to be given antibiotics through each teat as she came through the line to maintain the habit, but she wouldn’t be milked. I remember having to manually massage and express some cows’ milk if they had an infection.

But the normal natural dry off is two months for maximum recovery and overall health and long term productivity .

I think it was for two or three weeks following calving, a cow would still be run through the milking line, but we wouldn’t let her milk through to the main tank. It is thick and off-color, colostrum-laden milk needed to feed her calf. That milk would get drained from the collection vessel into a 5 gallon pail and we would walk it over to the calf barn to feed calves, along with any other cow’s milk from those who had just calved.

I used what I already knew to write a couple of gpt prompts for the content and the graph.

Here’s the recommended dry off info:

Yes, commercial dairy producers almost always dry off their cows about 60 days before calving to maintain long-term milk production and cow health.

Why Do They Dry Off Cows?

1. Maximizes Future Milk Yield – A proper dry period allows the udder tissue to regenerate, leading to better milk production in the next lactation cycle.

2. Supports Calf Development – In late pregnancy, the cow redirects energy toward the growing calf instead of milk production.

3. Prevents Mastitis & Udder Infections – Stopping milking allows the udder to seal and recover, reducing infection risks.

4. Body Condition Recovery – Helps replenish calcium and other nutrients before the next lactation.

How Do Commercial Farms Manage the Dry-Off Period?

• Abrupt Dry-Off: Cows are suddenly stopped from milking and monitored for mastitis risk.

• Gradual Dry-Off: Farmers reduce milking frequency over a week before stopping entirely.

• Use of Dry Cow Therapy: Some producers use antibiotics or teat sealants to prevent infections.

• Specialized Diets: Low-energy diets help prevent metabolic issues like milk fever post-calving.

Skipping the dry period can reduce total lifetime milk yield and lead to health complications. Large dairies track each cow’s cycle carefully to ensure proper dry-off timing.

Here is a python script for generating the graph:

import matplotlib.pyplot as plt

import numpy as np

# Generate a smooth lactation curve over a 12-month period (1-year cycle)

months = np.arange(1, 13)

# Approximate milk production curve (liters per day) - peak at month 2, gradual decline

milk_production_liters = np.array([10, 40, 38, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5, 0, 0])

# Create the plot

plt.figure(figsize=(10, 4))

plt.plot(months, milk_production_liters, marker="o", linestyle="-", color="b", label="Milk Production (liters/day)")

# Highlight key phases

plt.axvspan(1, 2, color='lightblue', alpha=0.3, label="Increasing Production")

plt.axvspan(2, 5, color='lightgreen', alpha=0.3, label="Peak Production")

plt.axvspan(6, 10, color='lightyellow', alpha=0.3, label="Declining Production")

plt.axvspan(11, 12, color='lightcoral', alpha=0.3, label="Dry Period")

# Labels and title

plt.xticks(range(1, 13))

plt.yticks(range(0, 45, 5))

plt.xlabel("Months After Calving")

plt.ylabel("Milk Production (liters/day)")

plt.title("Typical Milk Production Curve of a Dairy Cow")

plt.legend()

plt.grid(axis="y", linestyle="--", alpha=0.7)

plt.show()

The volume of milk a dairy cow produces follows a curve over the lactation cycle, peaking early and gradually declining. Here’s a breakdown of how it varies between calving events:

Milk Production Curve

1. Peak Milk Production (Weeks 6–10 post-calving)

• After calving, milk production increases rapidly, peaking around 60–90 days.

• This peak can range from 30–50 liters (8–13 gallons) per day, depending on breed and nutrition.

2. Gradual Decline (~Months 4–10 Post-Calving)

• After peaking, production declines at a rate of ~6–10% per month.

• By month 10, a cow may produce only 50% of her peak yield.

3. Dry Period (~Last 2 Months Before Next Calving)

• Around months 11–12, the cow is “dried off” (stopped from milking) to prepare for the next calving.

• No milk is produced during this time.

How This Looks Over a Year

• High yield: Months 2–5

• Moderate yield: Months 6–9

• Low yield: Month 10

• No milk: Months 11–12

Long-Term Milk Yield Trends

• The overall volume depends on genetics, diet, and management.

• Some high-yield breeds (e.g., Holsteins) maintain higher output longer than lower-yield breeds (e.g., Jerseys).

• Older cows tend to produce slightly more milk in later lactations (until about their 4th–5th lactation, after which production may decline).
