If I was a dictator of a nation with a birth rate falling below replacement levels, I'd outlaw abortion in order to boost my population and keep tax revenues from declining. 😈

Abortion is not the reason why the birth rate falls. So banning it wouldn't be the fix to a low rate birth.

The solution to low rate birth is immigration.

But for open borders to work out you first need people wanting to migrate to your country, of course.
