Internet is not politicized.
Let's not politicize Bitcoin either so that it could truly be global.
💯
Mixing bitcoin and religion makes no sense. They are opposites.
Not a good way to not look as a cult, tbh.

It's not a good idea to trust human readable names. Humans could be easily deceived with false names.
We should not recreate similar problems that ICANN has nowadays.
We should just trust pubkeys/npubs. Web of Trust is the way to go, in my opinion.
It's just part of a paranoid clown show.
Trrees that don't allow them to see the woods, and concentrate in the big and important picture.

What if "God" is just what people call the computer that runs the simulation we perceive as reality?
"God" is just what people use to explain things they don't understand.
Just as simple as that.
It's used to explain what is good and what is bad; why things happen; who are the enemies to blame and to fight against: etc.
Yep.
Npub-based Web of Trust could be a substitution of both DNS Hierarchy and Public Certificate Authorities.
We are concerned about about the US being able to switch off or spy on our cloud instances.
But what about payment infrastructure? All payment card companies we use are US based (visa, mastercard, amex). In some European countries like Denmark they have their own system alongside (Dankort). The Dutch sold off all their own card issuers providers long time ago.
https://epicompany.eu/ is supposed to provide an alternative but haven't seen any updates on that in a while.

That's where bitcoin enters the game.
Protocols are better than platforms.
I'm not here to defend the disastrous Germany's energy policies during last decades.
But if you want to compare the cost of living between different countries, you can not cherry pick just two services that fit your discourse.

Afaict, las block mined by Bitaxe was weeks ago (march 11th?)
Last week one important event in hashrate decentralisation happened, though:
- a block was found by a small miner using a self hosted version of public-pool software.
https://x.com/Public_Pool_BTC/status/1903618424841924829
This is the third solo mining block found in two weeks.
Notable achievement, imo.
But, don't trust my memory, verify yourself.

I love home mining and also what Bitaxe is achieving to push for hashrate decentralisation.
But it's not true that two blocks were mined by Bitaxe machines last week.

Don't forget also public services...
😉
Nice!
Although, I can't find it on nostr:nprofile1qqsra2ey033mkdwl5w8q0jss9ak69zafh82xsuvhwsaauw3trkq2amgpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgcwaehxw309anxjmr5v4ezumn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tck28qzu yet...
