yup!
I think there's a big difference between being a public figure who naturally gets attention for their work and the attention-seeking economy that gets people addicted to working for attention.
prefer the former scenario tbh.
one misconception about good communication in families, imo, is that you need to be good with words to be a "good communicator".
this isn't true, but communication is a skill like any other: the more you practice, the easier it gets and the better you get. and from many years of practice, I've learned that everyone has their own emotional language.
the best thing I can do as a mother or mother-figure is to help nurture that expression, but to also make my own simple to understand.
grew up in a family where secrecy was the norm and I couldn't tell my parents anything, which was very painful but I learned how to endure that pain. it made me good a certain types of work and shaped me in some positive and negative ways.
one thing I've always told myself, even as a kid, was that when I had a family of my own, we'd never have to keep secrets from each other and I'd always be willing to take the time to listen and talk with my spouse and kids about anything.
I consider myself kinda lucky for not being forced to be a public figure, but I do admire people who make the best of it. and that's given me a lot of courage to embrace the idea.
it's not that I'm afraid to be in public, I just don't want to do that alone. it's really important to me to have the right people in my life.
open lines of communication are the best 🩵
listening to a bunch of people from all over he world talking about interesting things together is my favorite thing about the internet.
I learned so much tonight 🧡

I was asked by nostr:npub14yf4yasnqgpkzjrzhysshglf82e8nkp8r9sn5hzqu4n244k3avtshhwpyu to do some celeb outreach. If you want to find and boost my comment, it’s over here on this vid: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRTFmfJo/
I don’t partake in celebrity-worship, because I know that celebrities are just people who are good at sharing consciousness. But because they have this ability to connect and relate on a mass scale, they can help us #grownostr ✌️ If Emrata joins us here, and she very well might, I encourage everyone to be cool and be kind. 🤙🫶

that would be awesome if she joined Nostr! 🧡
well that doesn't sound too bad! who doesn't love unforgettable moments like that?
you're right :)
if there's something they can offer, I'm sure it's not a big deal. sounds like you value connection even if it's hard to connect sometimes. you'd be surprised at how many well-known people can sense that.
looks great! 🧡
well, I have an opinion but that doesn't mean it's gonna be a reality. more of a "God's timing" kind of thing. like, if that's the right thing, it'll happen at the right time.
